THOUGHTS WHILE DRIVING

In this episode I share my thoughts around two specific verses of Scripture (Psalm 42:5; 34:18). Many people suffer with feelings of melancholy, or being cast down in their soul. The solution is difficult but it begins with going to the One who is near to the broken hearted. #christianity #depression #mentalhealth #hope #jesus

In this episode I share a recent conversation I had with one of my kids in which we discussed how we are bombarded by worldly, anti-God ideas. In the past we could avoid these ideas or at least culture seemed to at least attempt to keep such things quarantined to a certain place and time; this is no longer the case. Now Christians must be actively alert to the traps because they are everywhere whe...

In this episode I share a recent conversation about history, worry and what believers are actually called to do. It's difficult to know sometimes how to respond, but we've got to start with what we know. #christianity #politics #history #faithfulness

Oftentimes TV is pointless but every once in awhile there's a lesson we can learn. Recently I learned a lesson from an episode of The Middle about perseverance and hope. Life can be bumpy but how we respond to these bumps makes the difference. #christianity #themiddle #perseverance #hope #therapy #tv

In this episode I share my thoughts from Numbers 21. This is a classic example of the foolish, stubborn, stupidity that people are prone to. We teach obedience or mistrust to those who are watching us. *Correction -Although the incident I talk about happens at the end of the 40 years it's really the final gasping rebellion of the Exodus generation more than the newer generation.* #christianity #fa...

True Christian growth comes as we recognize that God is aiming at this goal and yield to that fact. #Christianity #podcast #providence #autism #anxiety #struggles #sanctification

In Philippians 3:20 the Apostle Paul tells the Phillipian believers to remember their citizenship is rooted in heaven where Christ is and where He will return from. These truths are to motivate and encourage a certain way of life. Being a citizen of a country has various responsibilities and benefits. Being a Christian means having dual citizenship, where the heavenly/ eternal citizenship ought to...
