The Minnesota Vikings have been active in free agency, but it certainly has come at a cost, saying goodbye to the likes of Kyle Rudolph and especially troubling in losing Riley Reiff with no replacement as of yet. The Good news however is the Vikings are set at Defensive Tackle, signing Dalvin Tomlinson, along with the surprise signing of 10 time pro-bowl conerback Patrick Peterson! Vig It App Ref...

Tom Brady with the excellent Buccaneers offense and defense pretty much dominated Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LV. Brady was outstanding, particularly in the first half, to help the Bucs build a big lead, while the powerful Tampa defense took care of business after that, versus a depleted Chiefs offensive line. The Vikings have a new Special Teams Coordinator and Streng...

The Kansas City Chiefs are back in the Super Bowl, with a fairly one sided win over Buffalo, while Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers took care of business in Lambeau, despite Mike Evans nearly gave it all away. We enjoyed some high quality football this past week, including a controversial play or two and maybe the end of a legend's career. Next week's Championship Sunday should be spectacular, as there isn't a bad match up as any of the four remaining teams can win it all in my estimation. facebook.com/purplemafiashow @purplemafiashow paladinolive@yahoo.com Learn more about your ad choices. Another Vikings season comes to a close, and once again we're stuck somewhere at or near the middle, which does nobody any good. Many a fan wants to move on from Zimmer, but we can't yet... Many a fan wants to move on from Cousins, but we can't yet... What more can you say? The Vikings gave up seven rushing touchdowns to the Saints on Christmas day, six of them to Alvin Kamara, the most since Ernie Nevers in 1929. facebook.com/purplemafiashow @purplemafiashow paladinolive@yahoo.com Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

The Vikings defense has been so depleted of key players, it's no wonder they can't stop the run during this lost year. Cousins was solid in the game, but once again couldn't get the pass protection when needed most. Cook was elite but this team cannot put all their eggs in his basket, because in the long run, that never works. facebook.com/purplemafiashow @purplemafiashow paladinolive@yahoo.com Le...

Dan Bailey was the first kicker to miss all four kicks in one game since 1961, he's a huge reason why the Vikings lost, but certainly not the only reason. The Vikings were undisciplined time and time again with repeat unnecessary hits, holds and interference which left many a Vikings fan more than miffed all day. facebook.com/purplemafiashow @purplemafiashow paladinolive@yahoo.com Learn more about...

In one of the ugliest games you will ever see, the Vikings barely crawled past the second worst team in the league and somehow are the 3rd Wild Card team in the NFC, due to Arizona's ongoing collapse. facebook.com/purplemafiashow @purplemafiashow paladinolive@yahoo.com Learn more about your ad choices. In a game that was filled with ups and downs for both sides, the much maligned Chad Beebe had a moment that would have crushed many a reserve player. When Beebe fumbled the punt with only 2:18 remaining in the game, it looked like all was lost and I was calling for Beebe's head. When given opportunities on what would be the game winning drive, Beebe came threw with three catches and the game tying...

We just knew there would be a letdown at some point, and here it was. Kris Boyd made the kind of mistakes that often get players cut in the preseason. As for someone called Chris Jones, how he doesn't get cut after literally "passing up" on a play, I don't know who would. facebook.com/purplemafiashow @purplemafiashow paladinolive@yahoo.com Learn more about your ad choices. Purple Mafia Episode 328: This game had a few very rare things occur, the Vikings winning on Monday night, a win in Chicago, and Kirk Cousins finally winning his first EVER Monday game, at age 32. Justin Jefferson continues to show that the Vikings struck gold in the draft pick acquired in the Stefon Diggs trade. facebook.com/purplemafiashow @purplemafiashow paladinolive@yahoo.com Learn more about...

Dalvin Cook continued where he left off in Green Bay, with a 206 yard effort on the ground, not including 46 yards receiving to boot. The Vikings had their most dominating win of the season, over a Detroit team that has virtually given up after their annual head fake to start the season. facebook.com/purplemafiashow @purplemafiashow paladinolive@yahoo.com Learn more about your ad choices. Dalvin Cook returned the Vikings line-up, and got right down to business. Cook went on the be the first Minnesota Viking to have a combined four touchdowns in a game since Ahmad Rashad in 1979! Kirk Cousins played a game manager role, and that proved once again to be the right decision, as the Vikings defeated the Packers in Lambeau for the first time since 2017. facebook.com/purplemafiashow @purp...

Kirk Cousins opened the game with a bad interception, it which he looked the fool. Most of the rest of the game was as ugly as it gets, Atlanta's defense was motivated, and Matt Ryan looked like the NFL MVP again throughout the game. facebook.com/purplemafiashow @purplemafiashow @paladinolive Audio Submissions: paladinolive@yahoo.com Learn more about your ad choices. The Minnesota Vikings played a whale of a game in Seattle on SNF, but still found a way to lose. Russell Wilson is now 7-0 against the Vikings since joining the Seahawks in 2012, who they play seemingly every single year. facebook.com/purplemafiashow @purplemafiashow @paladinolive paladinolive@yahoo.com Learn more about your ad choices. Justin Jefferson is showing he is a legitimate receiver in this league, Kirk Cousins continues to show that he has an arm, but not much else to go with the package. Luckily, the Vikings offense, lead by the big three of Cook, Thielen and Jefferson, was just enough to lead this club to it's first win of the season. The more than questionable coaching and play calls by Bill O'Brien helped the Viking...

Kirk Cousins is not someone that can be counted on for a game winning drive. Sure he's done it before, but very few times, and very far between. These facts will forever miff Vikings fans, as to why he even got a top five QB contract. facebook.com/purplemafiashow @purplemafiashow Send Audio Submissions to: paladinolive@yahoo.com Learn more about your ad choices. A historically bad game in Vikings history sums up what we saw versus the Colts on Sunday. Cousins was lost from the get go, and the Colts would move the chains at will, time and time and time again... facebook.com/purplemafiashow @purplemafiashow @paladinolive paladinolive@yahoo.com Learn more about your ad choices. Aaron Rogers and the Packers dominated the ball pretty much from start to finish, regardless if the Vikings managed to score 34 points in this game. There was a bad vibe coming into this game, with Danielle Hunter out at least three weeks, along with rookies in the secondary, including other very significant losses, and it showed. facebook.com/purplemafiashow @purplemafiashow @paladinolive paladin...
