A Catalan woman is challenging police after officers confronted her for swimming nude at Cap de Bol and later followed her home to demand identification. The municipality points to a separate beach designated for naturism, but its published rules do not appear to prohibit nudity where the incident occurred. The dispute now turns on a basic question: if nudity is supposedly banned there, where is t...

August’s nude news stretches from crowded clothing-optional beaches in Oregon and costly boundary mistakes in Sardinia to increased patrols beside Belgium’s naturist shore. Elsewhere, Detroit’s Naked Adventure Club offers a glimpse at a younger model of organized naturism, a Florida steakhouse experiments with clothing-optional dining, and one very small topless streaker becomes an unexpectedly la...

Grand Lido Negril has reopened after nearly ten months of hurricane-related closure, restoring one of the Caribbean’s few dedicated naturist resorts. The boutique property remains part of Royalton’s larger Negril complex and Marriott’s Autograph Collection, making it a rare example of an explicitly clothing-free resort operating inside a major international hotel network. A North Carolina bill would make repeat indecent exposure a felony and require sex-offender registration, dramatically increasing the consequences of a law that does not require prosecutors to prove sexual intent. The proposal does not create a new prohibition on nonsexual nudity, but for naturists it raises the stakes of an existing statute whose reach is already unusually broad. More at www dot...

Maui officials approved the Mākena State Park improvement plan after the state dropped new asphalt, reduced lighting, and disavowed any plan to restore the gate at Little Beach. The decision offers some immediate reassurance, but a required carrying-capacity study due in 2029 could reopen the question of reservations, controlled entry, and the future of one of Hawaiʻi’s longest-used nude beaches....

After organizers received threats to attack participants with vehicles and projectiles, Buffalo's World Naked Bike Ride was canceled for the first time in its eleven-year history. The decision highlights the increasingly difficult balance between public visibility and public safety for one of the world's best-known body freedom demonstrations. For more than sixty years, San Gregorio stood as a rare survivor of California's early nude beach movement, protected less by statute than by a longstanding understanding between public shoreline and private stewardship. Its transition into the state park system secures the land's future, but also ends one of the most important continuous traditions in American naturist history. More at www dot pl...

A Washington judge has rejected efforts to close Seattle's historic clothing-optional beach or prohibit nudity there, instead ordering the city to better manage unlawful conduct while preserving lawful nude recreation. The decision marks a significant victory for Friends of Denny Blaine and reinforces a distinction naturists have argued for decades: nude is not lewd. More at www dot planetnude dot...

Skinny Dip Day participants at Bates Beach were asked to dress after sheriff’s deputies responded to a complaint about nudity. The encounter ended without citations, but it came amid renewed enforcement at the unofficial clothing-optional beach and growing concern that inappropriate behavior by people outside the organized naturist community could jeopardize decades of tolerated nude use. Hanlan's Point has survived more than a century of shifting attitudes toward public nudity, but its future may now depend on decisions far beyond the beach itself. As federal officials weigh a major airport expansion, one of Canada's most historically significant naturist and queer spaces finds itself confronting the possibility that it could simply be built over. Arizona's governor has vetoed the Protect Act, ending a legislative fight that drew unusual attention from the naturist community. The measure sought to address revenge porn and AI-generated sexual imagery, but critics warned its recordkeeping requirements and broad language could create new burdens for lawful, nonsexual nude publishing. The veto leaves those concerns unresolved for now, while mak...

For years, Club Orient existed mostly in memory and in the stories told by the people who loved it. The beach remained, but the resort itself stayed frozen in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma. A groundbreaking ceremony changes that. While the new project will look very different from the village that stood there before, construction has finally begun on the next chapter of one of naturism's most ic...

The debate over Mākena State Park isn't really about toilets or parking spaces. It is about who gets to reach the shoreline, how public land is managed, and what happens when an informal culture depends on access that was never formally guaranteed. With a major hearing approaching, the future of one of Hawaiʻi's most closely watched beaches may hinge on decisions that appear administrative on the...

After two years of uncertainty, Serendipity Park has new owners. The sale preserves one of the South's best-known family nudist resorts, keeps existing staff involved, and ensures the property remains devoted to naturist recreation rather than redevelopment. A split within Toronto’s naked cycling community has produced two rides, two visions, and a debate that echoes far beyond a single afternoon on city streets.
