I continue where I left of in my previous podcast about left hand and right hand symbolism, where now I discuss the idea of authority and power or direct and indirect influence. I use iconography and other images (like the royal scepter and orb) as examples to expound on this symbolism. This video is complementary to my recent video reacting to Sam Harris, called "Where is Heaven?". A clip surfaced of Sam Harris from a recent interview he did on Triggernometry where he expressed incredulity about the apparent absurdity of the idea of “heaven”, given that we have telescopes and satellites that have never observed it. In this podcast I respond to that sort of literalism and confusion about what heaven means from an ancient and symbolic perspective. Original video: https://youtu...

In this podcast episode I discuss the famous passage in Romans 6:23, “ For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” We will explore the larger context of why St. Paul says this, how it relates to a fractal reality rather than only being a moral statement, and how it can ultimately help us understand emergence, emanation and our own salvation in Chri...

In this long-awaited discussion with Dr. Iain McGilchrist I ask him several questions about his work. This video is a response to Jordan Peterson’s analysis of Pinocchio and the notion of saving your father from the underworld. How does this idea fit into Christianity? At first it seems that Christ’s story flips the pattern, where He is saved by the underworld by His Father, but is there more to it?
