There is a common sentiment about the Easter Story - a group-think diagnosis of what took place that blessed morning. But, as in the case of Urgent Care Professionals, very often, the initial diagnosis only really attends to the loudest symptoms. What if Easter is about more just a risen Savior? What if the very thing Jesus accomplished that day is what He spent His life proclaiming? Could it be t...

As we close out this RESIDENT ALIENS series, there's one last meaningful reality Peter wants us to remember - that the "now-and-not-yet" is our reality, and we're all going to have to simply acclimate to it. Find out why from "friend of the house" Jonathan Madrid.

The Beatles famously sang: “All You Need Is Love”.  The Apostle Peter’s got a different idea.  Find out what it it is in this week’s sermon from our RESIDENT ALIENS series…

Some of the most iconic “aliens” in pop culture history are recognizable just from the silhouette of their posture.  What if Christians - RESIDENT ALIENS - were JUST as iconic… just as recognizable…  And what if all it took to make the connection was a simple adjustment to our “Alien Posture”?  As Peter finishes his first letter to the RESIDENT ALIENS - he has something to say about the subject.

Do You know What Time It is?  Peter's got some answers for that question...

You’re gonna hear some stats today that suggest that Christ-Followers need more equipping and practice than they’re actually receiving. Pastor Fike decided, instead of just sharing those stats and lamenting their reality, to DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. And, we’d like to invite you to participate in the process, too…

Have you heard the phrase “In It - Not Of It”?  Have you USED the phrase?  Pastor Fike, Peter, and, well, Jesus would all very much like to offer a gentle correction to all of God’s RESIDENT ALIENS walking the Planet Earth.  Find out why in this week’s sermon from 1 Peter 2:18-3:10.

This whole series is elevating our thoughts to a different and higher level.  It's demanding of us that we dileneate the difference between the culture of our world and the Kingdom we now belong to as Christians. We need to learn to "think Kingdom" and "live like Jesus"... and this week's passage proves that it's much easier said than done.

What does the Christian - "resident alien" - experience have to do with the SPHERE in Las Vegas? And, HOW does the Apostle Peter suggest we go about living like aliens on this crazy planet of ours?

Sometimes, certain passages of scripture can lead to Kanye-levels of exasperation. This is one of those passages. The Apostle Peter, in an attempt to galvanize and encourage the displaced, dispersed, disheartened “Resident Aliens” spread across the diaspora reminds them that they are to “be holy”. Like… what? How? Maybe “holiness” isn’t what we think it is…

Any Cultural Anthropologist would most certainly pay attention to the parts of culture that bring joy, elation, warmth and cheer. But, you can't evaluate a people-group without leaning in to the "sore subject" of PAIN. Pain's a part of human life BEFORE Jesus... but what about after? Why should pain persist as a part of Christian Life? What is the Purpose of Pain?

We're kicking off a new Sermon Series in the books of 1 & 2 Peter called "RESIDENT ALIENS". What is an "alien"... and why does Peter address us as such? Find out in the first two verses of 1 Peter 1... and get ready to sign up for "Alien Life"!

It’s a new year, but, it’s still the same you.  Last year, you faced all sorts of struggles and trials of many kinds.  Guess what? This year, you will again.  Life’s not about avoiding pain - It’s about learning from it.  Melissa Janish can testify to that reality.  And, this week, at TMC- she did.  With the help of the person in our Bibles most synonymous with trials of many kinds, (Job), Melissa...

Before we launch into a new sermon series... Before we get into the rhythm of our year.... Before we start solving problems and making impact on our world... What Should We Be Doing... (wait for it)... FIRST ? What happens FIRST is what matters MOST.

What's the difference between "urgency" and "urgentness"? Find out in this end-of-year, online-only sermon by Pastor Richie Fike, as he sums up the year that was for TMC and sets the trajectory for the year to come...

"Joy to the world, the Lord is come! Let earth receive her king... Let every heart prepare Him room..." Right... but, what if we don't? What does it look like when a person decides NOT to Prepare Him Room? John Wilson has some thoughts on the matter...

Every year, at Christmas-time, the whole world goes "Christmas-Crazy"... And MOST of the activity and calamity of Christmas has very little to do with Jesus Christ... you know: "The Reason For The Season". How in the world has Christmas crowded out Jesus? This year, let's do our best to "Prepare Him Room".

We’ve been trying to make sense of where we currently are in the Biblical Timeline, and whether “the end is near”… and this week, as we finish this series about the purpose of Eschatology, we’ll reach a definitive answer to these two questions:  1 - What is the purpose of Eschatology? 2 - Is This The End?

We are not the first generation of believers to demonstrate curiosity about “the end”.  In fact, before Jesus had even been crucified, his disciples were asking him for clarity about what would happen at “the end of days”.  Jesus did what he often did… he answered the question with some parables… but, instead of giving a clear timeline, he offered a simple principle - GET READY.

Justus Fike joins us this week to share his perspective on what’s happening amongst Gen Z. What does it mean when “The Anxious Generation” initiates a Spiritual Awakening? What does it mean when the Prophet Joel pronounced that in the great and terrible day of the Lord, “Young Men will see visions and Old Men will dream dreams?” What does any of this have to do with “The End”?

Is the stage fully set for the second coming of Christ, or is there more left to happen before he does?

As we Launch into this new series, we've got a lot of ground to cover... but, the ultimate question we'll ask and answer today is this one: What is the PURPOSE of "Eschatology"?

TMC is developing a unique & beautiful relationship with another Church Plant in Colorado... Lake Avenue Community Church // Pueblo, CO. This Sunday, we were treated to that church's Pastor, Scott Godinez, joining us to share his heart for ministry, and how it applies to every Christian, in every church, everywhere...

How do you "sum-up" the book of Genesis? We've covered 50 Chapters in 20 Weeks! At the Very End of Genesis, Joseph provides us with a Summary Statement, and in that Statement, we can see the Major Themes of the book... And, Guess what? They Rhyme!

Towards the end of Jacob's life, he gathered his 12 sons around him to speak words to them... words of blessing... words of prophecy... words of promise. Much of what he had to say was beautiful, meaningful, and touching. But, some of it was stinging, harsh, and hard-to-hear. We'll isolate 4 of these 12 sons and discern WHY Jacob said what he said, and HOW the words Jacob spoke then STILL APPLY TO...
