The Latecomers

Entering Season 2, we tackle best picture Midnight Cowboy. We see a young Jon Voight channeling his future child and we find some rampant fear and utter loneliness but for all that, a damn good film. CW if you are watching with us: homophobic slurs, sexual assault, ableist language. With Twin Peaks behind us and a set of acclaimed movies ahead, we turn off the media freeway to get to know each other a bit. Lemuel is effusive and Amity tries to keep it light. We ask getting to know you questions to let you get to know us. Thank you to the Freak Fandango Orchestra for our theme "Late As Usual" Twitter: @latecomerspod Email: latecomerspod@gmail.com

We watched Twin Peaks Season 2, Episodes 5, 6 and 7. We make it through the mystery and have some interesting conversation - much of that was eaten by technical difficulties so now we have one and only one final episode in the world of Twin Peaks. We watched Twin Peaks Season 2, Episode 4: "Laura's Secret Diary" - Back to the recapping and looking to the future. What will we watch once we know the truth about Bob? Listen to find out. We watched Twin Peaks Season 2, Episode 2: "Coma" - We learned nothing other than they officially have too much to do to complete all of their tasks in a single day. We spend far too long being serenaded and then scared out of our wits. David Lynch is certainly keeping us on our toes. There's no denying the handd of David Lynch and Amity doesn't think he's playing fair. Lemuel liked all the nods to stuff Amity didn't even know about. She's grumpy but they are getting through it together. It's a long one as we go beat by beat through this crazy night. Who lives? Who dies? We know and we're telling. Who killed Laura? Sadly that's still a mystery. We are super confused about one threesome in particular. The chess pieces are moving and it's all about to come to a head. We lose a bird, RIP Waldo, and gain a blond for the night. Tangent city this week as we recorded the episode so many times we lost track and then had to edit the mess we ended up with. I laughed while editing so that's a good sign. Podgods be damned, we made it happen. But Twin Peaks has us questioning, who dune it? Also - make sure that safety is on.
