Have you ever felt paralyzed by something? Not paralyzed in a medical sense, but paralyzed in the sense that you did not know what to do or where to turn? You felt like you were trapped in a box and couldn't get out. If you have ever felt this way, where did you turn for help? In our study of the people that Jesus met during His earthly ministry, we find a man who faced a paralyzing situation but...

Have you ever had real thirst: the kind of thirst where you wanted a drink of water more than anything else in the world? Imagine crossing a desert and running out of water—water would become for you a matter of life or death, something you might be willing to give up anything to have. Jesus once encountered a woman who had tried many different things to satisfy her needs, but when she met Jesus,...

During Jesus’ earthly ministry, He encountered and ministered to countless people, healing their sicknesses, comforting their grief, and instructing them in the ways of righteous living. The Bible records some of these encounters, giving us a glimpse into Jesus’ life and character while teaching us powerful truths. Join us this week as Dr. Lovette explores the ministry of John the Baptist, the man...

Join us as we conclude our study of Jesus’ future kingdom revealed in the book of the Revelation. God has given us a beautiful glimpse of the glory that awaits His people, and calls everyone, everywhere to repent of their sin and place their trust in Jesus alone. May we all be encouraged by this picture of Heaven to walk faithfully with Jesus through this life.

Life is full of change. We experience changes every day—in the weather, in life’s circumstances, in government and leadership, in relationships—some of which are small and easy, and others which are large and difficult. Today, we study an immense change that the Bible tells us will come upon the world in the end times: the rule of Jesus Christ over all the earth. All that Jesus has said and done h...

Jesus is coming again! No sooner had He ascended into heaven than two angels appeared to His followers assuring them of this powerful truth. All of the work we do for Jesus’ kingdom—everything we suffer, all the trials we face, and all the disappointment we meet—it all culminates in Jesus’ return. Join us as Dr. Lovette delivers a powerful message about the return of Jesus, and how living in the e...

Before He completed His earthly ministry, Jesus instructed His disciples, then and now, to look for the signs of His coming. One of the most prominent signs has been, and continues to be, the prevalence of war in the world. As we honor and remember those who have given their lives on the battlefield this Memorial Day, we are reminded to look for the coming of Jesus, the Prince of Peace, whose king...

When you think about Heaven, what comes to your mind? the Bible does not give us many glimpses of Heaven, but it does assure us that, as children of God with faith in Jesus Christ, that we will one day go there. Today, as we think about sowing seeds for our Heavenly Father, we look at the clearest picture of Heaven that we have in the Bible: the vision that the Lord gave John in the Revelation. Jo...

When we look at the world around us, we cannot help but marvel at the order and design that God has built into the very fabric of nature. God’s order permeates nature, but can also be found in His commandments that govern human life and society. When we remove God from the center of our lives, disorder reigns, disorder such as we see in the world around us today. Join us as Dr. Lovette delivers a...

One of the most important questions that people ask is “How long?”. When we are young, we ask our parents “How long before we get there?”. When we suffer, we ask “How long before this sickness or heartache gets better?”. When we are imprisoned or persecuted, we ask “How long before I am free?”. Jesus’ disciples asked a similar question, long ago: “How long before you establish Your kingdom?”. Jesu...

Jesus died on the cross to save us from our sins, and rose from the dead to give us hope of a future resurrection. This is great news! —but, most of the world acts as if it didn’t happen, or doesn’t have an impact on daily life. Join us as Dr. Lovette challenges us to “let Jesus’ message out of the tomb” where we have been hiding it, and tell the world about Jesus: how He gave everything for us so...

As we prepare for the Easter season, we study Jesus’ “passion week”—the week leading up to, and concluding with, His death, burial, and resurrection. During this last week of His earthly ministry, Jesus continued to teach His disciples about His kingdom, encouraging them to carry on His work and bring the message of His kingdom to the world after His departure. Join us as Dr. Lovette preaches from...

Nearly everything we do in life requires some preparation, especially when it comes to the Kingdom of God. Our King is coming! We, as Christians, need to prepare ourselves and the people around us for that coming. Join us as Dr. Lovette studies the Biblical account of the first “Palm Sunday”, and see how Jesus prepared the people around Him.

As long as God gives us strength in this life, it is our duty as Christians to keep praying, sowing, and growing in this world, striving to bring as many people into God’s kingdom as possible. God has called us to sow kingdom seeds today, because there is coming a day when all preparations for His kingdom will be completed, and our earthly work will be finished. When our earthly work is over—when...

Jesus’ call is not a call to idleness, but to work and activity. All throughout His earthly ministry, Jesus worked tirelessly to spread the news of His kingdom to a world that desperately needed to hear it. He has entrusted us today with that same task: tell the world about what He did for us on the cross, and how each and every person has a part in God’s perfect plan. We won’t accomplish our miss...

What are you passionate about? Your answer determines much of how you think, speak, and act in the world today. Are you passionate about eternal life in God’s kingdom? Jesus once asked “What profit is it if a man gains the whole world but loses his soul?”. Jesus showed us that eternal life in God’s kingdom is far more important hope that anyone could ever have—it’s a hope that we must share with t...

Jesus issues a call to all of His followers: a call to spread the good news of His kingdom to the entire world. To illustrate the way in which we can do this, and encourage us under the challenges we will face, Jesus compares this process, and its results, to a farmer sowing seeds in a field. The lessons we can learn from this parable are valuable to all those who want to make a difference in the...

Part of our duty as Christians is to help our world to get ready for the return of Jesus. Before we can be successful at this, we must first get ourselves ready!

What do you spend most of your time focusing on? Many people today fixate on the world’s problems: economic, political, environmental, and social issues fill our news feeds and occupy a large place in many people’s minds. Others focus on personal struggles: financial, job, family, and health issues often vie for our attention. While the things of this life deserve our attention, Jesus teaches us t...
