Ruth 1-2: Naomi and Ruth

I saw still another mighty angel coming down from heaven clothed with a cloud. And a rainbow was on his head, his face was like the sun, and his feet like pillars of fire. [Rev 9:12] Revelation 10 introduces yet another angel, and one with a description like our Lords [ref. Rev 1:14-15]. However, the text clearly says, another mighty angel. Here are some key observations to note. Firstly, the word...

Genesis 39-40: Joseph in Prison

Genesis 39-40: Joseph in Prison

And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease. - Matthew 10:1 Sound familiar? These were the works that Jesus did! And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease a...

Judges 19-21: The Last Judges

Judges 19-21: The Last Judges

One woe is past. Behold, still two more woes are coming after these things.[Rev 9:12] The 1st Woe [the 5th Trumpet judgment] has been the fiercest yet. A demonic multitude is released from the abyss to torment mankind for five months. Their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it strikes a man. [v.9:5b] In those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will desire to die, and...

Genesis 37-38: Joseph Dreams

Genesis 37-38: Joseph Dreams

As Jesus passed on from there, He saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax office. And He said to him, Follow Me. So he arose and followed Him. - Matthew 9:9 This followed Him is different from the multitudes that followed Him. The multitudes followed the miracles; the disciples followed the message. While the Gospels do record a miracle/message pulse, it is without a doubt the message that is t...

Judges 17-18: Idolatry and Decline

Then the fifth angel sounded: And I saw a star fallen from heaven to the earth. To him was given the key to the bottomless pit. [Rev 9:1] There are some interesting things to observe in this verse. The star mentioned here seems to refer to a person rather than a literal star or meteor. His fallenness is a clue to this beings identity. In Luke 10:18, Jesus said He saw Satan fall like lightning from...

Genesis 35-36: Jacob Finishes the Journey

When He had come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed Him. And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean. - Matthew 8:1-2 This is right on the heels of the Sermon on the Mount. After Jesus taught the precepts of the Kingdom, He came down from the mountain and showed His authority. He immediately met a leper and healed him. His walk...

Judges 13-16: Samson

Judges 13-16: Samson

When He opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and to them were given seven trumpets. [Rev 8:1-2] This describes the breaking of the seventh and final seal. Seven seals hold closed a scroll written inside and on the back. [Rev 5:1]. I believe this scroll is the title deed to the earth. Upon it is opening, Jesus...
