Consider that as you surrender completely to God, confident faith develops. Faith comes by His grace, but your partnership with God allows the Spirit to strengthen your faith. As you faithfully follow Jesus, your faith grows, and your prayer becomes more confident. Faith and prayer are connected. God’s faith inspires confident prayer.  Just as grace and faith are connected, so are faith and prayer...

Before I dive into the passage in Acts, remember that as a believer in Christ, your true family lineage is through Christ; we are born from above now, no longer belonging to this world. We have a new identity—a heavenly one. We are heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ (Rom. 8:14-17) and heirs according to God’s promise (Gal. 3:26-29). “Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to kno...

Have you ever stopped to consider this truth? The same resurrection power that raised Jesus from the dead lives within you! (See Eph. 1:18-20) This insight will revolutionize your prayer life!

Your prayers are not “feeble attempts” to get God’s attention; instead, your prayers carry “resurrection life” because the greater one within you releases His presence and power through you. Understand that, “greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world!” (1 John 4:4 NASB)

Aren’t you glad to know that God’s word says that “nothing is impossible with God!” When situations seem hopeless, always remember that we walk with Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, and He has promised that when we ask believing, we shall receive! Our circumstances do not limit God! However, we must learn how to prevail in faith and prayer to see the greater breakthroughs He promises t...

A few years ago, I ministered at a church in Brazil and witnessed firsthand the power of prevailing faith and prayer. The church was located in a storefront in a poor area of the city, but the people were rich in faith. When our team arrived at this church, I could hear the intercessors praying loudly in a back room. The pastor asked me if I wanted to join them in prayer before the service started...

Fathers and men, we honor you not only for what you do but for who you are. Your love, strength, leadership, sacrifices, and life of faith carry eternal weight. In a world that is desperate for godly fathers, your example shines brightly. Whether you’re raising children in your own home, mentoring spiritual sons and daughters, or simply standing as a pillar of integrity, you reflect the heart of o...

The past three weeks have included discussions about the characteristics of faith. I’ve examined how faith hears, sees, and speaks. Last week, we discussed how faith speaks. When God’s faith is active, proclaiming faith over your circumstances boldly declares heaven’s reality. Faith states, “I’m about to speak something I don’t fully understand, but I trust God’s revealed will and will declare it!...

Our perspective, apart from the faith of God, is limited in clarity. We are to lean on God’s understanding, not ours. Our sense knowledge and circumstances distort our ability to see with the eyes of faith.   Faith recognizes as truth what is not visible to our natural senses. Faith trusts God’s promises to transform unseen realities into tangible existence!   Faith is the connector to God and His...

For the past two weeks, I’ve been discussing the characteristics of faith. Last week, I shared how Faith Hears. Today, I want to talk about how Faith Sees. I discuss in detail these characteristics of faith in my book Our Eyes are On You: Principles to Prevail in Faith & Prayer, available on Amazon. Faith Sees Paul makes a simple yet profound statement about faith to the Corinthians.

The Bible and church history abound with stories of men and women who exhibited courage, conquering their fears, flaws, and failures to embody lives of brave faith. Most of these people were just like us, choosing to trust God despite their inadequacies, past mistakes, and concerns about the future. They believed in God and His promises, overcoming challenges to achieve the impossible and bring gl...

A mother’s love and encouragement shape our worldview. Godly mothers impart faith that guides and strengthens us. The influence of a mother cannot be overstated. I am grateful for my mother’s impact. She always believed in me, and her confidence helped me overcome challenges and setbacks later in life.  While this message and article are directed to mothers, keep in mind that all of us are called...

When you need more faith, you must look to Jesus. The writer of Hebrews states, “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.” Heb. 12:2 NKJV Real faith is faith that comes from Christ, imparted to us by grace. Sometimes faith is weak, but even weak faith is not to be criticized. Sometimes, all the faith you have is enough to “cling” to Jesus. Nineteenth-century pastor Charles Spurgeon...

There is faith, and then there is faith. Often, our experience with God and His Word enables us to operate as “routine” in kingdom authority and power. In other words, we operate at a level of faith developed over time, which is good and effective in many situations. However, faith to “move mountains” requires a faith that is beyond our experience and level of understanding of God’s Word—we need t...

I was reminded of the well-known Christian hymn Amazing Grace, composed by John Newton in 1779.Amazing grace! How sweet the soundThat saved a wretch like me. I once was lost, but now am found,Was blind but now I see. Newton, a slave trader, experienced a conversion to Christ during a storm off the coast of Ireland in 1748. Crying out to God for mercy, he discovered the depths of God’s love. Ultima...

As I’ve shared over the past few weeks, God’s Word directs, guides, instructs, and empowers us on our journey with Him. His Word is eternal, and He watches over it to ensure its fulfillment. His Word is alive and active! Embrace the power of His Word to bring about His intentions for your life, family, and church. Have faith that this year will be one of growth and expansion for you and your famil...

Continuing our study of the Parable of the Sower (Mark 4:1-20), this article will begin examining the interpretation of the parable. As I mentioned last week, we have a responsibility to steward God’s Word in our lives. Through Christ, we are made kings and priests. Therefore, we must strive to comprehend God’s truths and strategies. It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, But the glory of kin...

Jesus, His words are Spirit, and they are life (John 6:63). He is the way to the Father (John 14:6), and His words comfort, challenge, and cause change in the hearer. We must actively listen, embrace, and respond to what His Word and promises reveal. This applies to everyone, both those who do not know the Lord and those who do. For those who don’t know the Lord, the truth that He is the Savior of...

t is vital to recognize that God’s Word is essential for remaining steadfast in Him and experiencing the abundant life that Jesus invites us to as His followers. For example, Paul wrote about our adoption into God’s family through Jesus. 16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. 17 Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, (R...

God’s Word is a  “lamp for our feet, and a light on our path.”  (Psalm 119:105 NKJV)  His eternal Word illuminates our way in a darkened world.   God’s Word provides us with wisdom, guidance, and principles to live by. His Word empowers us to live victoriously and rise above the circumstances of this world.

The prophet Isaiah declared a timeless truth, The grass withers and the flower fades; but the word of our God will stand forever. (Isa. 40:8 NKJV) God’s Word is eternal and ageless. For followers of Christ, this brings comfort, hope, and strength. In the coming weeks, I will explore the intrinsic power of God’s Word and the promises He makes to us. Understanding God’s Word is essential for remaini...

Today, I want to conclude the Psalm 91 study by examining the promise of God’s power. As I’ve shared in this series, Psalm 91 illustrates the security believers find through their faith in Christ. The secret place is found in the Lord and reflects the Old Testament’s approach to teaching personal faith. Today, this personal faith and understanding of God’s promises are fulfilled in Christ. The Pro...

I have been studying Psalm 91 for the past four weeks. Today, I want to continue by examining a specific promise in this Psalm: God’s provision. Believing in and trusting God for provision is essential. Have you ever felt desperate for it? Many of us have. The key to maintaining peace during times of scarcity is cultivating a strong relationship with the Lord and having confidence in His promises...

Psalm 91 describes the security believers find through faith in Christ. The secret place is in the Lord, reflecting the Old Testament’s way of teaching personal faith. However, today, this personal faith and understanding of God’s promises are fulfilled in Christ. The Promises of Psalm 91 14 “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has ...

Today, I want to continue by examining specific promises in this Psalm. Psalm 91 describes the security that believers can find through faith in Christ. The secret place is found in the Lord. It reflects the Old Testament’s approach to teaching personal faith. But for us today, this personal faith and realization of God’s promises are found in Christ. The Promises of Psalm 91
