Kevin Kietzman Has Issues

A listener turned me on to a little known podcast for men dealing with addiction.  It's as much therapy for the guest and listeners as it is anything else and the latest conversation is with former Chiefs coach Britt Reid who is out of prison and building a new life.  I was skeptical at first, thinking Britt would not come clean and try to create an appearance that all is well.    Instead, he t...

I can think of a thousand things that if they were shutdown today I would notice.  The federal government isn't one of them.   So here we go, will this be another shutdown about nothing that we all forget about or will President Trump make this a shutdown to remember?    Frank White is out as Jackson County Executive... wait until you hear how badly he got smoked at the polls.  Now, who's next...

I had to wait a couple days to actually make sure the story of the Superintendent of the Des Moines School District is true.  It's so outrageously unbelievable that ICE picked him up and arrested him that it can only be the beginning of many, many more white collar scammers in our country getting caught.    President Trump scores another big settlement against a media giant and is creating quit...

Patrick Mahomes was as great as he ever was Sunday as Xavier Worthy returned to action.  The Chiefs never looked better.  Now, the Ravens defense may give the Cowboys a run for worst in the NFL but that doesn't matter right now.  The Chiefs have erased their 0-2 start with a pair of season saving wins and may have just flipped the bird to the world that had them dead and buried.    Lamar Jackso...

It's a jam packed Friday episode as former FBI Director James Comey will reportedly surrender to authorities for an indictment on two charges including perjury in Congress.      President Trump will attend the Ryder Cup on Long Island in New York which is one of the wildest sporting events in history.  Wait until you hear what Irishman Rory McIlroy has to say about the United States of America....

Let's shift from all the bad in the world to a couple really great stories about two individuals that are the best among us.    Then, a Wichita developer has made a huge purchase that could be related to the Royals, we'll tell you where.   A gay website called "Queerty" has decided to attack Harrison Butker in the weakest of ways.  The Chiefs are clearly over scrutinized as a global website is...

We have so many topics today they won't all fit in the headline so hang in there as we cover it all.  We start with the epidemic of teen crime in KC as it's obvious many young thugs know they can't get in trouble.  Sunday night at a concert in KC at T-Mobile center, a large, developed, strong "minor" beat the living daylights out of an old man usher.   It's just awful.  You have to hear this st...

Jimmy Kimmel survives as Disney announces a return of his late night show Tuesday.  But at least one major station group will not be airing the show just yet.  The long term survival of this show is anything but guaranteed.    The memorial service for Charlie Kirk was glorious to see and the words of his widow Erica serve as an inspiration to all of us    As president Trump prepares to address t...

Hey, the Chiefs win but that's not today's podcast.  Instead, it's a great chat with our long time friend Danni Boatwright talking about her new show on Fox Wednesday night, her career as a model and broadcaster and her great family.  Yes, she's married to a former football player and raising two teenage boys.  One of them is starting a Turning Point chapter at his high school.  This is good st...

The very close friend standing just a few yards away from Charlie Kirk, Frank Turek, details the mayhem when Kirk was shot and the car ride to the hospital.  This isn't for everyone but its really powerful and important and I want to share it with you.   As Trump flew back from the UK, he slams London's mayor, trashes Ilhan Omar and expresses his deep love for our strongest ally.  He really, re...

ABC Late Night host Jimmy Kimmel is off the air indefinitely and critics are blasting this as an attack on free speech.  It's everything but an attack on free speech.  Kimmel has had free reign to say whatever he wants and be so wrong and mean and pathetic for so long, this is just capitalism winning again.  I'll set this all straight for those that think he's being silenced.    KKHI listeners...

As we close in on five years of KKHI I can honestly say I've never seen a reaction from listeners like the past week. Everyone is upset and motivated after the assassination of Charlie Kirk and we all want to do something. It's inspiring for sure.  It's been mostly good news of people on the left losing their jobs after saying horrible things about this tragedy.   But KU is standing by the empl...

It's getting hotter under the collar for some conservatives in the aftermath of the Charlie Kirk murder.  VP JD Vance hosted Kirk's show Monday and unloaded on people that he says he will not seek unity with and Greg Gutfeld went bonkers on Fox News.  We'll play it for you.    A staffer at KU is in focus for referring to Charlie Kirk as "worm food" and it's impossible to see how she will keep h...

The Chiefs look lost on offense with no running game other than a scrambling Patrick Mahomes and their mission of hitting deep passes has one glaring problem.  It's something Mahomes is not good at.  Like, really not good at.  He chucks it flat and deep almost every time and the Chiefs just aren't good enough right now to cover up mistakes by Mahomes and HOF tight end Travis Kelce.    It gets e...

President Trump announces on live tv Friday morning the suspected shooter in the murder of Charlie Kirk is in custody and was turned in by a Christian Minister who had a friend in law enforcement.  There are not any further details but the stories of how they identified him and the touching stories of support are everywhere.    The Chiefs and Eagles are set for a Super Bowl rematch and Xavier W...

I woke up this morning hoping to feel something different than what I felt yesterday watching the horrific video of Charlie Kirk being murdered in cold blood for speaking his beliefs in public.   Instead, we are feeling a resolve in our profound sadness that this happens in America.    As we record this podcast, the killer is still at large, far left crazies are getting fired right and left for...

Turning Point USA's founder Charlie Kirk was 20 minutes in to one of his campus tour speaking events at Utah Valley State University when he was shot by a high powered rifle, in the neck, from 200 yards away.    Utah authorities have a man in custody.    Kirk was shot after being asked a question about gun violence and blood poured from his neck.  There's horrific video everywhere.  This is the...

The new Congressional map for Missouri flies through the state House and is on its way to the Senate.  The goal is to flip a Dem district in the KC area red but there are no guarantees.  Let's hope they got this thing right.    Two NFL teams, for most Kansas Citians coming out of nowhere, have announced their newer facilities than Arrowhead are being replaced by brand new multi billion dollar p...

Rupert Murdoch has finally settled his succession plan for Fox News and other properties as it will be in control of his conservative son Lachlan.  This was one crazy, bitter family feud.    Kansas AG Kris Kobach is suing the Kelly administration for withholding information from the federal government.  You have to love this one.    The DEA announces a massive 5 day sweep by 23 field offices wo...

It's a great week to be a Missouri Tigers fan as they rely on a couple of rock solid fundamentals to stop the Kansas Jayhawks to win the Border War revisited.  The best team won but boy, oh boy, did KU have a shot in this one.    The Chiefs find themselves all alone in last place as the week begins.  Yes, the division we promise will be the toughest ever proved true as the Raiders and Broncos b...

It feels like we shorted you some news this week as we got sorta sports heavy so we will just dial up a weekend episode of KKHI.      First, I couldn't be more disappointed in what we saw out of the Chiefs in the opener against the Chargers.  There is much work to do or this is going to be a long season.    Then, we discuss the greatest troll yet for the Trump administration.  They are talking...

Who the heck am I kidding?  I was going to hold this episode and release it at the normal time Friday morning but there's just too much excitement for this incredible regular season football weekend.    I promise our Chiefs 2025 season preview with Stan Weber is the best you will hear anywhere or I'll give you your money back!  Then, the Border War is back and all the pressure is on Mizzou even...

Credit to Kansas candidate for governor Jeff Colyer for calling out an anti-Jew extremist working in the Kansas State Civil Rights and Title IX department as that employee was suspended within hours of our report here at KKHI.  Listeners here, and of the interview with Colyer we did on radio, overwhelmed the school with calls and got immediate action.  Well done.    It's pretty clear now the De...

Former Kansas Governor Jeff Colyer unloads on K-State for a hire they've made in their Civil Rights Department and he's spot on.  This is the kind of story that grabs headlines as Colyer seems to be gaining traction as the Republican to beat in the primary for 2026.    Oracle is getting smaller in KC, it sort of seemed inevitable.    President Trump orders the destruction of a narco terror drug...

It's great to be back in the comfort of the home studio and we're firing right out of the gate this week with a really interesting story about where we stayed at a golf resort in Utah.  It involves Patrick Mahomes buying the course and Andy Reid building a house there.  You have to hear this.    We had some really sad looking Trump protesters this weekend in KC and I feel terrible for them that...
