Joe on Joe - A G.I. Joe Podcast

I'm not going to lie to you. This is one of the worst mainstream comics I've ever looked at, and absolutely the worst G.I. Joe comic book I've ever read. This cost $2.50 in 1989 and 34 years later, I'm still offended. Listen in this week to learn why! Joe: A Real American Hero character work into unified dossiers. It's really an amazing pie...

It begins! Welcome aboard my new special guest host, Michael Nie as we explore the world of Action Force Weekly! Michael is a massive Joe fan who reached out and together we hatched this plan to explore the British G.I. Joe counterparts... Action Force! It's a big week for American democracy and so I thought I'd dig out a classic Joe on Joe episode, Cobra's Candidate! Let's hear this ep with special guest Ben Penserga from our wonderful sponsors, The Movies and A Meal Podcast! Originally aired in 2018! Enjoy!

Another great interview with someone from the Joe community that's making it happen! This week I had a wonderful chat with our neighbor to the North, Darren Howlett from WhiskeyJack Toys! He's the brains behing the upcoming Legends of the Hidden Force line and the just launched new Kickstarter, C.H.A.O.S. ! These articulated baddies need backing and you have until November 23rd to bring their evil...

It's the end of the road for G.I. Joe Magazine! I hope you brought your hankies so we can mourn the final issue. If you did, you'd be the only one as there is no mention at all in the issue that this is the last! An adventure in the Sahara Desert for our 1988 G.I. Joe lineup awaits, with some dodgy storytelling, I have to say... I'm looking at you R. L. Stine. And I was thinking of Steve McNair! C...

It's the Summer of 1988 and you're reading the G.I. Joe Magazine! Were you expecting the Joes to basically sign Voltar's death warrant in space? No you were not. And now in 2024, neither was I! The Summer of 2024 is over and we're heading into awards season at the movies, so make sure you give The Movies and a Meal Podcast a good listen, to see how much they loved or hated Joker 2!

It's Spring of 1988, you jumped off your Huffy and ran inside to see G.I. Joe The Magazine waiting for you on the counter! Even better... It has an interview with Alf! It also has an exciting story of highway subterfuge with everyone's favorite Road Pig and... Skidmark! Skidmark....  I'll be the Movies and a Meal Podcast has covered many highway chase movies. Give their podcast a listen to find ou...

Put on your snow skis with the Joes trapped in the snow, surrounded by Cobra! What's Dial Tone, Lifeline, Outback, Iceberg and Tunnel Rat to do? Listen to find out! You should also listen to our great sponsors, the Movies and a Meal Podcast! They're covering all the big movies and all the big meals!

Back to the magazine coverage this week, with the Fall 1987 issue of G.I. Joe Magazine! Fast Draw, Psyche Out, Gung Ho, Falcon, & Jinx have to save a group of tourists from Crystal Ball's mind control on the streets of Paris! I'll bet The Movies and a Meal Podcast have covered many movies that involve Parisian Mind Control. It's an overlooked, and underappreciated genre of film. Also overlooked, b...

It's a Joe on Joe Flashback as we revisit our podcast covering the DIC episode, An Officer and a Viperman! Why are we flashing back?
