CrossRoads Danville Podcast

It's Sunday, April 27th. We are continuing in our series titled, "He Promises," as today Terry dives in to God's promise that we will hear His voice.   If you're new to listening in, please check us out at crossroadsofdanville.com for all up-to-date information about the church. If you want to set up a time in the near future to grab coffee, you can call, text or email us. Thank you for tuning in...

We're celebrating Easter this week and Terry is kicking off a new series today that's titled, "He Promises." The Message is focused on John 3:16. I hope you enjoy the podcast!

We're continuing in the Beatitudes today found in Matthew 5. The Message is looking at verses 10-12, and we're still in the series, "Count Your Blessings."   This week we celebrate Palm Sunday - Jesus being praised by the people. And in less than one week's time, we remember Him being hung on a cross. As much as we feel like we may not be persecuted to the extent that we see in Scripture or other...

At CrossRoads we do our best to live out this Vision - "No One Walks Alone." It's incredibly difficult to do that online. Which is why we gather for worship on Sundays at 9:00am. We have great environments for our students as well as great worship and Biblical teaching in our main service. We would love for you and your family to experience these in person. So if you live near-by, plan to stop-in...

Terry is going to read from John 14 today. The focus of the message is on the Great Opportunities God places in front of us. At one point Terry shares the stage with one of our Elders, Jason Miller, as they communicate some important information regarding Missions that CrossRoads support.

We're in Galatians 5. The question we're asking is, "Does the Church Matter?" It sounds like it should be a simple answer, but it can get more difficult as we try to explain exactly "How?" or "Why?" the Church matters in the world today. Before you listen, maybe try to think about what you would say...

Terry is continuing in our "Church" series. Today's Message applies to those of us that have been followers of Jesus for a long time, but it also hits home for those that are new to God's Church or those that don't follow Jesus. I know you're going to be glad you took the time to tune in today.

As we continue in our series titled, "Church," Terry is in the book of Acts and referencing the testimony of Stephen. Terry also brings a special guest with him on stage today, as we had the opportunity to hear from our very own, Chelsea Foster.

Are we practicing safe Christianity or bold Christianity? What’s the difference? Terry uses passages from Acts 4, Acts 5 and John 3 this week as he looks at the idea of Living Bold in order to do everything we can to help Grow God's Church. We know it's not up to us, but that doesn't mean we don't have a role to play. Sharing the Gospel and making Disciples is who we are!

We started the Podcast a little differently today. We want to continue communicating about Gather25, that we're doing alongside Connexion Church, Calvary Baptist and Second Church. It is going to be all of us gathering together at CrossRoads, but the Church all over the world is going to be worshipping at the same time, and we'll get to worship together thanks to the simulcast. We would love to ha...

It's Miles' last day officially serving as our Teaching Pastor at CrossRoads. We have a special guest speaker, Mike Kilgallin, bringing the Message and leading us through our final step in this transition from Miles to Terry as our next Teaching Pastor. It was an emotional morning, but it was a great morning.

Miles Clark, our Teaching Pastor, and a member of the staff at Old Union & CrossRoads for the past 26 years, is bringing the Message for us today. This is Miles's last Message as a member of the staff, as he will be retiring from his current position at the end of the month. It's the last Episode of the CrossRoads Podcast in 2024 and we've had a great year. Thank you for all the episodes you've tuned in for over the last 12 months. Terry is going to take some time today to look back and celebrate things that have taken place, but what I love is that he looks forward with excitement for what 2025 has to bring.

Christmas Eve has many special moments: readings, prayer, worship, communion and the beautiful candles lit all throughout the room. For the Podcast, you hear from Robbie Ketcherside, Addy Heckerson and Miles Clark. We hope you enjoy this special bonus edition of our time together on Christmas Eve.

The Christmas Season and the Advent Series are coming to an end. We're in week four of "Who Needs Christmas?" Today the answer is simply, "Christmas is for Everyone" as we look at Love.

We hope you're really able to take this message of Joy and see it lived out in your everyday. Miles's willingness to share the real life stories, his real experiences and how Joy is difficult, it is so good for us to hear from the stage. I hope that connects with those of you that feel similar. It's not easy, but it's worth it, to live that life of joy.

Week two of our Advent Series on the Podcast. This week we're taking another step into "Who Needs Christmas?," with "I Need Christmas," specifically looking at how God is our provider for peace in the world.   We've looked at the Hope that can come with Christmas, and now the Peace that can come with Christmas. Even though the holidays can be full of difficult emotions, it's always a great reminde...
