Sermon by Rev. Jake Zabel of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Dalby, Queensland, Australia.

1 Jesus, Thy boundless love to me No thought can reach, no tongue declare; Unite my thankful heart to Thee, And reign without a rival there. Thine wholly, Thine alone, I am: Lord, with Thy love my heart inflame. 2 O grant that nothing in my soul May dwell, but Thy pure love alone; O may Thy love possess me whole, My joy, my treasure, and my crown. All coldness from my heart remove; My every act, w...

1 King of glory, now before Thee To Thy throne I humbly flee; Sorrows thronging, childlike longing, Son of man, I bring to Thee. Let me find Thee, Let me find Thee, Poor and worthless though I be. 2 Look upon me, Lord, I pray Thee, Let Thy Spirit dwell in mine; Thou hast sought me, Thou hast bought me, Only Thee to know I pine. Let me find Thee, Let me find Thee: Take my heart, and own me Thine. 3...

1 Jesus, priceless treasure, Fount of purest pleasure, Truest friend to me: Ah, how long in anguish Shall my spirit languish, Yearning, Lord, for Thee? Thou art mine O Lamb divine; I will suffer naught to hide Thee, Naught I ask beside Thee. 2 In Thine arms I rest me; Foes who would molest me Cannot reach me here. Though the earth be shaking, Every heart be quaking, Jesus calms my fear. Lightnings...

Sermon by Rev. Jake Zabel of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Dalby, Queensland, Australia.

1 Jesus, the very thought of Thee With sweetness fills the breast But sweeter far Thy face to see, And in Thy presence rest. 2 No voice can sing, no heart can frame, Nor can the memory find A sweeter sound than Thy blest name, O Saviour of mankind. 3 O hope of every contrite heart, O joy of all the meek, To those who fall how kind Thou art, How good to those who seek! 4 But what to those who find?...

1 O Morning Star so bright and fair, With grace and truth beyond compare Thou art the King of heaven. O David’s Son, of Jacob’s line, Thou root of Jesse, bridegroom mine, To Thee my heart is given: Precious, Gracious, All-victorious, Fair and glorious, Rich in blessing, Might and majesty possessing. 2 Thou, mighty Father, in Thy Son Didst love me, ere Thou hadst begun To lay this world’s foundatio...

1 Thee, O Jesus, I’ll not leave, Who for me Thyself hast given; Firmly unto Thee I cleave, Nor from Thee will I be driven. Thou the light of life dost give: Thee, O Jesus, I’ll not leave. 2 I will leave Thee nevermore While on earth I am abiding; All I am and have I pour At Thy feet, in Thee confiding. All to Thee I gladly give: Thee, O Jesus, I’ll not leave. 3 Though my sight should pass away, Ta...

Sermon by Rev. Jake Zabel of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Dalby, Queensland, Australia.

1 They come, God’s messengers of love, They come from realms of peace above, From homes of never-fading light, From blissful mansions ever bright. 2 They come to watch around us here, To soothe our sorrow, calm our fear; Ye heavenly guides, speed not away, God willeth you with us to stay. 3 But chiefly at its journey’s end ’Tis yours the spirit to befriend, And whisper to the faithful heart, “O Ch...

1 Lord God, to Thee we all give praise, Our thankful hearts to Thee we raise, For countless hosts of angels bright Who serve Thy Son in cloudless light. 2 Pure in their nature, good and true, ’Tis their delight Thy will to do; From heaven they come the souls to guard Who trust in Thy most holy Word. 3 They joy when but one sinner turns; Their zeal for Jesus ever burns; They serve His people night...
