Body Image | Created & Designed Sunday, September 28, 2025 Geoff Wright Genesis 1, Psalm 139.13-16 God has intentionally created and designed your body. The incredible thing is He made you in His image. Every person who has ever lived has been made in His image, which shows that each person has immense value. Because God has designed us, it is Him alone that gets to state how to use the gift o...

Sunday, September 21, 2025 Jordan Weeks Death, Clothing, and New Hearts Genesis 3; Ephesians 4.17-32 Our bodies will all experience death. But before that we will go through periods where we want to cover up aspects of who we are. This happened after the first act of human rebellion against their Creator. They put on clothing to hide the shame from Him and one another. This has been our constant r...

Dissatisfaction (Body Series) Sunday, September 14, 2025 Brian Stegner Exodus 20:4, 17 Though God made us excellently, we determined that we didn’t want to live under His design. We began dissatisfied with God’s design and have now turned to dissatisfaction with what we have become. At some level, every person struggles with dissatisfaction with their body. If it isn’t today, it will arrive at som...

Vision & Values Sunday, September 7, 2025 Jordan Weeks Colossians 1:15-2:5 This sermon covers the five values we claim as a church. We believe these values flow from Scripture and are all applicable callings to all those who claim Jesus as Saviour and Lord. Our desire is to see disciples grow in maturity and start gospel outposts all over the greater Montreal region.

Genuine Faith | Persevering Sunday, August 31, 2025 Brian Stegner Jude 17-25 It is so easy to fall away. Jude encourages all followers to keep building ourselves in the faith, praying in the Spirit, keeping ourselves in the love of God, and waiting for the mercy of Jesus. This will lead to a faith that perseveres and proves to be genuine. The God who rescued us is able to keep us from stumbling an...

Genuine Faith | Contending Sunday, August 24, 2025 Tim Hull Jude 1-16 We live in an evil world. People have wicked hearts. It has been this way since the beginning of the rebellion. We are in a real spiritual battle. But we are called to be those who contend for the faith. We do not need to cower or withdraw but are instead to move toward others with the confidence of what God has done. It is esse...

Genuine Faith | Waiting Sunday, August 17, 2025  Peter Smith Genuine Faith | Waiting 2 Peter 3:1-18 The end of this era is coming. Peter is preparing the exiles to be ready for their King to come. We are waiting for His promise of new heaven and a new earth where righteousness dwells. Waiting is an active posture, whereby we want to help prepare others for the coming of Jesus as well. The Lord wil...

Genuine Faith | FALSE Sunday, August 10, 2025  Jordan Weeks 2 Peter 2:1-22 There are many who will want to twist what is true about God into messages that benefit them. From the beginning, there have been those who came to confuse and distort. And many will follow these false words. Therefore, we need to be ready to combat the false message with what is true about God, His work, His people, and wh...

Sunday, July 27, 2025  Genuine Faith | True Brian Stegner 2 Peter 1:16-21 What we have in the Scriptures are the very words of God. This word has been confirmed over millennia by the people of God. It is so important that we understand what the word of God says so that we might know what is true.

Sunday, July 13, 2025 Genuine Faith | Humility 1 Peter 5:1-14 There is no position in this world that should cause pride to rise up. Rather, as followers of Jesus we are to clothe ourselves with humility. This clothing defines us as we lead, follow, or find ourselves needing to resist the enemy. To those who humble themselves, God will strengthen and establish them.

Genuine Faith | Godly Living Sunday, July 20th, 2025 Peter Smith 2 Peter 1:1-15 As we follow Jesus, the Spirit intends to make us look more like Him. There is a participation in godly living that we are invited into. The godly living keeps us from being ineffective and unfruitful. It is when we forget what has been done for us in Christ that we veer away from a life submitted to Him. It is importa...

Genuine Faith | Suffering Sunday, June 29, 2025 Tim Hull 1 Peter 3:8-4:19 Christ suffered on our behalf. As we live as followers of Him in this world, we too will experience suffering. Peter helps us see that we should not be surprised when we do suffer, but we can actually rejoice in that His glory is being revealed through what we are experiencing. Our suffering should not happen because of livi...

Genuine Faith | Marriage Sunday, June 22, 2025 Jordan Weeks 1 Peter 3:1-7 Marriage is God’s idea. He directed it to be between a man and a woman, who are very different from one another. It is in this union where we learn mutual submission, honour, and beauty that is internal and eternal.

Genuine Faith | Authority Sunday, June 15, 2025 Brian Stegner  1 Peter 2:13-25 First century Rome was not kind to Christians, yet Peter is writing that all followers are to be subject to certain human institutions for the sake of the Lord. We are free to submit in honour and love to those who are even unjust. It is how we honour authority that speaks to how we understand Jesus being Lord of all. A...

Genuine Faith | His Community Sunday, June 8, 2025 Geoff Wright 1 Peter 2:4-12 The people of God exist because of Jesus and for Jesus. We are living stones in His building, of which He is the cornerstone. We are a royal priesthood that is meant to go and tell of the excellencies of Him who called us out of darkness. As His community, we build one another up as well as invite others who are not yet...

Sunday, June 1, 2025 Peter Smith  1 Peter 1:13-2:3 Since we are children of God, we are now equipped by the Spirit to live differently that we previously did. This holy conduct is not intended to be lived in a vacuum but in front of a world that does not yet know the beauty of what God has done.

Genuine Faith | Hope Sunday, May 25, 2025 Jordan Weeks 1 Peter 1:1-12 Peter helps us see the overwhelming hope that followers of Jesus have despite the circumstances that might be going on around us. As elect exiles, they need to root their faith in who God is and what He has done, which He has been promising since the beginning.

Genuine Faith | Who are Peter & Jude? Brian Stegner Sunday, May 18, 2025 John 21:15-19; Mark 3:31-35 There is much known about Peter in the Bible. Not much is known about Jude. As we spend the next several months hearing from these two figures, it would be important to know who they are and why they would write what they did.

Questioning the Resurrection | Resurrection Changes Everything Sunday, May 11, 2025 Tim Hull Matthew 28:18-20 The resurrection is not merely a fact to be considered, but an invitation to participate in the resurrection life of Christ. Jesus is also clear about what transpires in the lives of those who refuse to receive what He has offered.

Questioning the Resurrection | Stepping Into the Resurrection Sunday, May 4, 2025 Brian Alton 1 Corinthians 15:17 The resurrection is not merely a fact to be considered, but an invitation to participate in the resurrection life of Christ. Jesus is also clear about what transpires in the lives of those who refuse to receive what He has offered.

Resurrection Reshapes History Sunday, April 27, 2025 Jordan Weeks Luke 24:44-46 The resurrection is the linchpin of all history. Remove it and we meander into meaninglessness. But if we keep it, then we must wrestle with the implications it makes upon what we see in the world. As we look at the story of the Bible, it becomes very clear that the resurrection was intentional.

Doubting the Resurrection Sunday, April 20, 2025 Peter Smith Matthew 28:16-17 As Christians gather to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus, we know that some gather with lots of doubts. So did the first disciples of Jesus. They had questions about how the impossible could take place and what it meant for them. Tune in as we begin a series exploring a life redefined by the resurrection of Jesus.

Genesis | Returning good when treated evil April 13, 2025 Tim Hull Genesis 42-50 The entire story of Joseph is finalized when he meets his brothers (who sold him) as they are looking for food. God has made a way for reconciliation and restoration to happen. Joseph has the lens to understand what God has been doing and is able to minister that to his family.

Genesis | Gifted for others Sunday, April 6, 2025 Jordan Weeks Genesis 40-41 Two of the prisoners with Joseph are given dreams. Joseph now has the ability to determine what these dreams mean. He has matured in his gifting and gives correct interpretations of the dreams. Ultimately he is given the opportunity to interpret the dreams of Pharaoh, which requires someone to bring wisdom to a dire situa...

Genesis | Living Above Reproach Sunday, March 30, 2025 Peter Smith Genesis 39 Through false accusation and deception of others, Joseph is put into prison. But it is within the walls of this jail that God is preparing this man to provide for the entire world in a desperate moment.
