I woke up to water drops falling on my face. Was it raining in August? Why wasn't I in my bed? Was I dreaming? I forced my eyes open, feeling the cold grass beneath me. After a moment, I remembered I had fallen asleep on the front lawn the previous night. It wasn't raining. The water drops gently sprayed from the sprinkler system. I sat up and looked at our house. I shouldn't call it "our house" a...

I'm Eddie. I was surprised to wake up with the sun so bright out. I reached out for my phone to check the time. It was past noon! My mom was supposed to wake me up that day. The plan was to have breakfast at the Museum of Natural History cafeteria and then visit the "Skeletons of Extinct Animals" exhibit. When my mom heard of the show, she got tickets for us without even asking me. That’s because...

Even though I live with my parents, we treat each other like strangers. We don’t talk. I can’t even remember the last time I had a conversation with my dad. I only remember my mom telling me to take out the trash a few weeks ago. Normally, she just points to the trash with her eyes. I was surprised that she actually said something to me that day. I do my own grocery shopping. I cook my own food. A...

Ever since I was little, I've always loved helping people. Once when I was in primary school, I saw an old lady lying on the sidewalk and shivering. I took off my coat and laid it over her. When I came home, my mom was shocked to see me without my coat because it was snowing outside. After I explained why, she hugged me and said, "I'm proud of you."Kindly please follow/subscribe to our other podca...

I jumped out of bed as soon as my phone alarm went off. I'd been consistently waking up at 2:00 am to play Roblox until about 5:00 in the morning. Then I'd go back to bed and sleep until it was time for school. I was so sleepy during the day, but I would still wake up at night to play Roblox because I enjoyed it so much. One night, while playing Roblox in the dark in a total trance, the light in m...

At first, I didn't realize he was talking to me...until I looked up. I was speechless; I was shocked. Welcome to the Here's My Story channel. I'm Eric. I've been in this secret room for hours. At first, I wasn't worried. I thought I would find a way out. But then I started panicking. I was so close to them, but how co...

I've never met my grandfather in my life. An attorney called me out of the blue. He said my grandfather had passed, but he recorded a video for me beforehand. In the video, my grandfather said, "If you spend a million dollars in 24 hours, you will inherit my hundred million dollar fortune." However, he had some rules: You can't buy assets such as a house or a car, you're only allowed to spend the...

My grandparents were farmers who lived in a tiny village. I would visit them as soon as school was out for summer break. They grew vegetables on their farm. We woke with the sun and worked all day in the vegetable garden. At the end of each day, I'd be so tired but happy and at peace. But something unexpected happened that summer. One morning, I woke up to my mom crying. I forced myself to open my eyes. "Dustin, your grandfather's had a heart attack. He's in the hospital. Your grandmother wants us to be there." Visiting my grandfather? That was the last thing I wanted to do. "Mom, you're acting like the hospital is a few blocks away," I complained, "Grandpa's in Atlanta, and we live in Florida. That's an 8-hour drive!" She...
