The Minnesota Vikings season came to a screeching halt, in all too familiar fashion if you've been watching this team for a number of years and a number of playoff appearences, dating all the way back to Superbowl IV, where all the disappointment started. facebook.com/purplemafiashow @purplemafiashow @paladinolive paladinolive@yahoo.com @PigskinPodNet @draftkings If you or someone you know has a g...

The Minnesota Vikings won a preseason style game against the Chicago Bears, who will now pick first overall in the draft coming up this coming spring. Luckily the Vikings had no injuries in this one, and as expected, will host the New York Giants on Super Wild Card Weekend. The Vikings drew a team that is very beatable, but with star right tackle Brian Oneill gone for the year, how far can this te...

The Minnesota Vikings had a golden opportunity to end the Packers season, AND get a step closer to the number one seed in the NFL, and what happened? A game that was "A Blizzard Of Balls" in a 41-17 loss, that basically was 41-3 versus Dallas all over again. This game also brought back many a rotten late season memory, that has cost the Vikings a multitude of chances for home field advantage, dati...

The Minnesota Vikings went with an interesting look on Christmas Eve Saturday afternoon, with a whiteout through out the field, the fans in the stands and of course the uniforms, though their helmet stayed purple. It was an overall back and forth battle, as many a game have been this 2022 season for the Vikings and the New York Giants as well. Another game that may have been a loss, wound up a dra...

Down 33-0, the final frontier, these are the Voyagers of the Minnesota Vikings, their continuing mission, to explore large deficiets, to scare fans, if not themselves... to boldly do what no team has done before... The Minnesota Vikings made history on Saturday December the 17th, 2022, coming back from a hole, that no team has ever returned from. Regardless the situation, regardless who the oponne...

We all knew the dam would break at some point, (not that it didn't vs Philadelphia and Dallas) but also against a team that might not be a first tier club. Not just bad habits, but putting players in inopportune positions, and injuries to offensive lineman hasn't helped either. facebook.com/purplemafiashow @purplemafiashow @paladinolive paladinolive@yahoo.com @PigskinPodNet @draftkings If you or s...

The Minnesota Vikings defense has been scaring us all season, yet so many times, they've pulled through with the big stop at the end, be it an INT, or simply a stop to end the game. Sure, the "Dona-SHELL" defense looked pretty good until the last few minutes of the second quarter, but that's when the bleep hit the fan... Luckily, the Vikings emerged victorious for the 10th time this season! facebo...

For the first time in a least 20 years, it's safe to say that a Minnesota Vikings head coach, out dueled Bill Belichick! The Patriots, despite playing very well for over three quarters, and looked like they might win this game, were undisiplined way too often in this game, which cost them dearly. facebook.com/purplemafiashow @purplemafiashow @paladinolive paladinolive@yahoo.com @PigskinPodNet @dra...

Reality set in early and often Sunday afternoon, starting with the strip sack of Kirk Cousins, and it felt like the Vikings never recovered. The Dallas Cowboys don't wear pinstripes, but they sure seem like the do versus the Vikings of late, shades of the Yankees dominance over the Minnesota Twins. facebook.com/purplemafiashow @purplemafiashow @paladinolive paladinolive@yahoo.com @PigskinPodNet @d...

There is something different about this Vikings team compared to so many others. They literally just win games, whether pretty, ugly, scary, or an epic battle of "Can you top this?". It's becoming more of we hope it never ends, and this team ultimately reaches immortality when the time comes in February. We certainly hope so, and we shall soon find out, but we know for sure that this team is for r...

The Minnesota Vikings just keep finding ways to win, in games they would not have won last year, or frankly, not in the last few years at the very least. Kirk Cousins returned to Washington for the first time, and was heckled with fans trolling Kirk's famous "You like that?!" line at him, as the Commanders were beating the Vikings by ten. Thankfully, Kirk and Co. got the last "You like that?!" in...

The bottom line is that this Minnesota Vikings team is winning games they would not have last season. This team is not finding ways to lose, they are finding ways to win, no matter how ugly or how graceful. Za'Darius Smith continues to bring an incredible pass rush to this team, and Dalvin Cook finally eclipses 100 yards rushing Vig It App Referral: Paladinolive Use my referral link for the Crypto...

The Minnesota Vikings survived another ugly game, as the Miami Dolphins shot themselves in the foot, time and again. The Vikings showed up when needed, and got another clutch victory, and somehow are now 5-1! In a game that initially looked like the Vikings first blow out win of the year, the momentum changed oh so much, to a point it appeared the Vikings might lose, or at the very least, have to take their chances in overtime. As the Bears were cutting through the Vikings defense once again, Cam Dantzler suddenly came up with the ball, stripping Ihmir Smith Marsette to finally put the Bears out for go...

The Minnesota Vikings have found a way to win ugly games like this, and that's a heck of a lot better than losing these kind of games the past few years. At 3-1, this team has a chance to be the most successful in Kirk Cousins career, after that, what could happen next? The Vikings came back from down 14 points, and then 10 points later on in a game that looked as if it wasn't going to go their way down the stretch. When finally in striking distance, the return of KJ Cluch happened, with two huge plays, the second resulting in the game winner! The Minnesota Vikings had another east coast meltdown and once again on Monday night for Kirk Cousins who drops to an abysmal 2-11 in such games. It wasn't just Kirk though, most of the team on both sides of the ball was dominated, including the coaching staff in this one. The Minnesota Vikings were able to stymie and contain Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers in Kevin O'Connell's debut as Vikings head coach. Ed Donatell's (aka Donatello) defense looks like something fun and special going forward, along with the whole vibe, and more creative offense! Makes you think about Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! We review this bizarre draft, to say the least. The good news is, the Minnesota Vikings secondary should be significantly better. The offensive line is a step or two closer to being complete as well. The fear is, have we allowed two receivers to torture us for the next ten years in our own division? Time will tell. As always, we get to all of your comments on social media! NFL Free Agency is upon us, and as per usual, the salary cap situation takes center stage. The most frustrating part of this is the feeling that we're running everything back again, which really doesn't feel right when a team changes leadership.
