Purple Mafia -Minnesota Vikings Podcast-

Many are wondering when it is time to pull the plug, at least for now, regarding J.J. McCarthy as the starting QB, after another disappointing showing, this time in Lambeau field. #Vikings #NFL CONNECT WITH ME Email: paladinolive@gmail.com SOCIAL MEDIA Subscribe to our YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@purplemafiashow facebook.com/profile.php?id=61556704867223 X: @purpl...

JJ McCarthy is starting to remind Vikings fans of Christian Ponder or enter other QB busts. The Minnesota Vikings committed an in incredible eight false start penalties against the Baltimore Ravens, and the craziest part was, this was a home game! #Vikings #NFL CONNECT WITH ME Email: paladinolive@gmail.com SOCIAL MEDIA Subscribe to our YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@purplemafiashow facebook.com/profile.php?id=61556704867223 X: @purplemafiashow Instagram: @purpl...

J.J. McCarthy is back, and couldn't have come at a better time, not to mention a healthier offensive line! The Vikings defense showed us what we were hoping for, for so long, an actual pass rush, and an ability to stop both Detroit stand out running backs!! #Vikings #NFL CONNECT WITH ME Email: paladinolive@yahoo.com SOCIAL MEDIA Subscribe to our YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@pur...

In short, the Vikings were "zapped" on Thursday night against the Los Angeles Chargers. This game was a virtual no show on both sides of the ball, leaving us either speechless or ranting up a storm! #Vikings #NFL CONNECT WITH ME Email: paladinolive@yahoo.com SOCIAL MEDIA Subscribe to our YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@purplemafiashow facebook.com/profile.php?id=615...

The Minnesota Vikings offense went one of six in the redzone, which is as damning as it gets. What's also damning is the fact that this pass defense was completely outplayed/out coached. Finally what feels like why this team is 3-3, is the fact that this defense as a whole, outside of the Cincinnati blowout, refuses to make that game changing play, it's non existent, week after week. #Viki...

The Vikings offensive line was short three starters, and the linebackers were still missing two, so we knew this game would be ugly, and it was. Carson Wentz was clutch when needed most, and the Vikings survived a game in which it felt like they were going to lose, until the end. #Vikings #NFL CONNECT WITH ME Email: paladinolive@yahoo.com SOCIAL MEDIA Subscribe to our YouTube: https://www....

In a game that felt like all was lost, the Vikings pulled us back in, with a furious rally in the forth quarter. What ensued as the Vikings started what could've been a drive to victory, we all realized we should have known better. The Vikings injuries continue to mount, and with an offensive line in the position it is right now, this doesn't even resemble a playoff team. #Vikings #NFL CON...

In a historical thrashing, Isaiah Rodgers made his presence known, starting off with a pick six, then forcing a fumble, in which he had a scoop and score, and finally another forced fumble, making him maybe the easiest Fran Tarkenton award in the history of this 17 year old Podcast. Another player made his presence known, and that was Left Tackle Christian Darrisaw, who made a huge difference prot...

The Minnesota Vikings were still missing their All-Pro left tackle against the Atlanta Falcons, and it showed. Other injuries that have already piled up, also reared their ugly heads in a game that felt like it was 2023 post Kirk Cousins all over again... #Vikings #NFL CONNECT WITH ME Email: paladinolive@yahoo.com SOCIAL MEDIA Subscribe to our YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@purplemafiashow...

In a game where the first three quarters were unwatchable, JJ McCarthy awakened, and a star was born! We saw a quarterback that was clutch, and the version of McCarthy that won at such a high level in Michigan! #Vikings #NFL CONNECT WITH ME Email: paladinolive@yahoo.com SOCIAL MEDIA Subscribe to our YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@purplemafiashow facebook.com/profile.php?id=6155670486722...

The Minnesota Vikings ended up with five new players in the 2025 NFL Draft, highlighted by filling out the offensive line, taking left guard Donovan Jackson at 24. The wait for quarterback number two finally ended, when the Purple traded down thirty picks in the fifth round, acquiring Sam Howell from the Seattle Seahawks. Yet another quarterback was added to an awfully young QB room, in undrafted...

The 2025 NFL Draft is upon us at long last! This weekend, we saw the Detroit Lions upset by the Washington Commanders! Other than that, the home teams all took care of business and moved on to Championship Sunday next week. When it comes to "The Big Game(s)" it appears the moment is too big for Sam Darnold, despite such an amazing regular season. The interior line did not help, but still, you would hope for better than what we have seen the past two weeks. The Vikings played in Detroit on Sunday night, but mostly just the defense showed up. Sam Darnold looked nervous and that the game was too big for him from the get go. Hockenson was flat awful, Jefferson had some plays he'd like back, and eventually the defense ran out of gas, as they'd done everything they could, as Darnold and the offense mustered virtually nothing most of the way. The Minnesota Vikings have now won the second most games in a season in franchise history, in a game that should have had more separation than it did. Once again Sam Darnold was clutch when he needed to be, just like he was against Green Bay earlier in the season. Will Reichart is scaring a few people by "doinking" a 43 yarder, not to mention a tougher 58 yard field goal attempt. No double doinks...
