Nashville First Baptist Church

Today, our focus is on “A Deeply Revived Church,” as we reflect on Revelation 3:1-6, which contains Jesus’ message to the church in Sardis. Thank you for joining us today!

Romans 1:18-25 paints a vivid picture of how people suppress the truth about God and replace Him with idols. Pastor Thomas West looks at "Idols of the Heart."

Bryan Barley preaches from Acts 19. We are asking God to bring revival to Nashville, but before that happens, we are asking him to bring revival to our church, and before that happens, we are asking him to bring revival to us!

We are continuing our series, “Revive,” focused on seeking spiritual renewal in our church and our city. Thank you for joining us!

"Revive" is rooted in Psalm 85 and focused on spiritual renewal.

Jesus’ powerful words from Matthew 5:13-16 , call us to be salt and light , a city on a hill that cannot be hidden. We stand at a pivotal moment, not just as individuals, but as a church called to shine God’s light into every corner of our city.

This sermon explores Isaiah 58. We are called to be repairers of the city, using our resources and creativity to bring about transformation that honors God and serves our neighbors.

Just as God has moved mightily in the past, we believe He can and will do it again in our time, as we. step out on faith to reawaken our church's legacy.

We are a church for the city because we serve a God who loves this city. Just as God called the exiles in Jeremiah 29 to seek the welfare of Babylon, He calls us to seek the flourishing of Nashville.

Today is the completion of our Lord’s Prayer series. Bryan Barley will be preaching on the significance of saying, "Amen."

In a world that often entices us with fleeting pleasures and the pursuit of a “good life” built by our own hands, these words call us back to the eternal and unshakeable Kingdom of God. The power we seek in our achievements and the glory we crave in recognition can never truly satisfy. But in God’s Kingdom, we find a reign that endures, a power that saves, and a glory that shines brighter than any...

"Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us form evil." This isn't just about avoiding wrong choices; it's about understanding the spiritual battle we all face.

Pastor Thomas West explores the theme of forgiveness—a thorny yet vital issue that touches every heart. Forgiveness is essential for healing our hurts and freeing us from the burdens of resentment and bitterness.

Bryan Barley, Discipleship Pastor preaches on “Give us this day our daily bread.” This powerful line reminds us of our deep need for God’s daily provision. In a world where self-sufficiency is often celebrated, this prayer awakens us to the reality that we rely on Jesus for everything.

"Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven." This powerful line invites us to seek God's reign and His will in our lives and the world around us.

What’s in a name? For many, a name is a significant part of their identity. We feel hurt when our name is not given the respect it deserves. Now, imagine the importance of. God’s name. It’s not just a label but an expression of who he is and what he is like.

For 2,000 years Christians on every continent, and in every language, have prayed this prayer to God. Over the next eight weeks, we will not only study this prayer in depth but also practice it together, seeking to understand and live out its profound truths for our everyday lives.

Bryan Barley, Discipleship Pastor, looks into Matthew 12:38-42 and focuses on how Jonah points us to Jesus.

The final chapter in Jonah highlights God's incredible compassion and Jonah's struggle with mercy.

This chapter illustrates God’s incredible mercy and His willingness to give second chances, not only to Jonah but also to the people of Nineveh. As we explore Jonah’s obedience and the city’s remarkable repentance, we’ll see how God’s grace extends to all, offering forgiveness and new beginnings.

Pastor Thomas continues in Jonah focusing on the grace of God.

A closer look into Jonah 1

Pastor Thomas begins the series on the book of Jonah.

Tony Rankin preaches from Joshua 4

Pastor Thomas' final sermon from the "Jesus Is..." from John 10:1-10. In this passage of scripture Jesus uses this imagery of a shepherd and a door to illustrate his unique role in saving and directing our lives.
