Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God according to the promise of the life that is in Christ Jesus, 2 To Timothy, my beloved child: Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord. 3 I thank God whom I serve, as did my ancestors, with a clear conscience, as I remember you constantly in my prayers night and day. 4 As I remember your tears, I long to see you, that...

1  Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord, O my soul! 2 I will praise the Lord as long as I live;     I will sing praises to my God while I have my being. 3 Put not your trust in princes,     in a son of man, in whom there is no salvation. 4 When his breath departs, he returns to the earth;     on that very day his plans perish. 5 Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob,     whose hope is in the Lo...

O Lord, you have searched me and known me! 2 You know when I sit down and when I rise up;     you discern my thoughts from afar. 3 You search out my path and my lying down     and are acquainted with all my ways. 4 Even before a word is on my tongue,     behold, O Lord, you know it altogether. 5 You hem me in, behind and before,     and lay your hand upon me. 6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for...

I  love the Lord, because he has heard     my voice and my pleas for mercy. 2 Because he inclined his ear to me,     therefore I will call on him as long as I live. 3 The snares of death encompassed me;     the pangs of Sheol laid hold on me;     I suffered distress and anguish. 4 Then I called on the name of the Lord:     “O Lord, I pray, deliver my soul!” 5 Gracious is the Lord, and righteous;  ...

Praise the Lord! I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart,     in the company of the upright, in the congregation. 2 Great are the works of the Lord,     studied by all who delight in them. 3 Full of splendor and majesty is his work,   and his righteousness endures forever. 4 He has caused his wondrous works to be remembered;     the Lord is gracious and merciful. 5 He provides food for...

Praise the Lord! Blessed is the man who fears the Lord,     who greatly delights in his commandments! 2 His offspring will be mighty in the land;     the generation of the upright will be blessed. 3 Wealth and riches are in his house,     and his righteousness endures forever. 4 Light dawns in the darkness  for the upright;     he is gracious, merciful, and righteous. 5 It is well with the man who...

My Soul Thirsts for You A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah. 63 (62 in LXX based Translations)   O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you;     my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you,     as in a dry and weary land where there is no water. 2 So I have looked upon you in the sanctuary,     beholding your power and glory. 3 Because your steadfast love is better than...

35 On that day, when evening had come, he said to them, “Let us go across to the other side.” 36 And leaving the crowd, they took him with them in the boat, just as he was. And other boats were with him. 37 And a great windstorm arose, and the waves were breaking into the boat, so that the boat was already filling. 38 But he was in the stern, asleep on the cushion. And they woke him and said to hi...
