Faithful Not Flawless

Are you facing a battle right now? Do the odds seem stacked against you? I'm sure David felt that way facing his giant, but he wasn't alone; God was with him. Just like God is with you in facing your giant. So, pick up your stones and use your sling!

Have you ever found yourself in the start of something small? Does it feel like you're not going anywhere quickly? In Zechariah, it says the Lord will spring into action for you! Don't despise where you are for the Lord rejoices to see where the work begins.

Do you find yourself in a mess that you created? Have you tried to make it better and ended up making it worse? We've been there too. God has your mess; He sees where you're at and He has the way out. Trust in Him. He's got you and all your chocolate.

Have you ever felt out of tune? It's like when we listen to a musical instrument that it out of tune, it's harsh to hear, makes us squint a little bit. How wonderful is it to be in tune with God? To have those precious moments of hearing His voice and obeying what He is asking of you. Tune in your heart to the great musician. He's got your melody.

Are you feeling the burn? You know the kind where your hope is truly under fire? Yeah, that kind. When it feels like everything and everyone is against you? God is in the fire with you! He calls us to love in action, requiring us to love even in the fire or the one who is stoking it. He is calling us to pray blessings over the stoker. Start praying those blessings and watch what God can do!

Are you feeling dry and weary? I am pretty sure that is how the woman at the well felt too. Every day she came to the well to draw water leaving the same way. Jesus promises living water and that we never have to thirst again. He met her at the well, knowing her need and her history. She left the well that day forever changed. Continuing the word of God through a season of Hope. Are you in the need for hope? God's got it. Psalms 42 says to hope in God. He is our steadfast love and our firm foundation.

Have you ever felt alone and hopeless? Did you know that Jesus died to bring you hope, a hope for a future. A future with Him. He alone is our hope, our future, our restoration. He loves you, the unique one. He sees you just where you are.

Sometimes reality is messy and emotional. It can bring out the feeling of helplessness and sometimes we just want to cover our heads and hide. But God... He is not governed by emotions, like we often are. He is the same today, tomorrow and forever. He sees just where you are at in your present moments and He sets in our path these moments that reminds us of His faithfulness.

Conditional love will only get you so far. It will only last so long until one day you stop meeting the expectations of the one holding their love captive. Love with strings attached, love with stipulations, love for exchange of service is not of God. True unconditional love comes without requirements. It's just "love".
