2 Broke Geeks

Even though this episode gets cut short by computer problems, we still manage to talk about "Rick and Morty", "Pearl", "Clerks III", comics, a little touch of "House of the Dragon" and a few other things.

Well, we're back! We went and saw the new horror film "Barbarian". We watched "What We Do in the Shadows", "Harley Quinn", and "House of the Dragon". Oh, and Matt and Justin each watched a movie on Shudder. Plus, D23 happened so there's stuff to talk about from that.

This week is kinda short. We finished up the fourth season of Westworld and watched Harley Quinn, What We Do in the Shadows and She-Hulk. Not much else.

Well, a whole lot has gone on since the last time we recorded. We talk about WB Discovery's whole debacle with Batgirl and their supposed plan to build DC in a stronger film brand, "Westworld", "What We Do in the Shadows", and more.

Playing catch up after some time off we talk about San Diego Comic Con, Westworld, What We Do in the Shadows, South Park, and a few other things we have been partaking in.

Justin FINALLY saw "Everything, Everywhere, All At Once" so we gush about that for a while. Then we give our thoughts on "Thor: Love & Thunder", the most recent couple episodes of "Westworld" and the final two episodes of "Stranger Things 4".

Our heroes take time this episode to talk about serious things because we believe in heroes and really want people to step up and do something as the world quickly falls down around us. Then we talk about Obi-Wan and other stuff. Go vote blue, god damn it. Be a real hero, don't just watch them on TV.

Stuff, things, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ms. Marvel, something something comics, something something toys, Futurama and Young Justice.

I mean, we do talk about things that aren't "Stranger Things 4" and "Obi-Wan Kenobi", but they aren't quite as cool!

I'll let you in on a little secret: I procrastinated posting this and can't remember what we talked about beyond the two movies and couldn't be bothered to listen to it again at this point. I know we talked about "Firestarter" and "Old". The rest can be a surprise to you.

In this episode we mourn the passing of comic book art legends Neal Adams and George Perez. We also discuss the season finale of "Moon Knight' and do a deep dive into "Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness".

Matt and Atomic Geekdom Jenny have a talk with New York Times best selling author Jonathan Maberry about his new epic fantasy novel "Kagen The Damned", the process of writing epic fantasy and even learn a few things about the NEXT book in the series!

This week, both the geeks saw movies! Justin saw "The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent" and Matt saw "Everything Everywhere All At Once". Plus, the upcoming "Chip 'n' Dale: Rescue Rangers" movie got a new trailer. A little bit of news came out of Cinema Con. And, we of course talk about the most recent episode of "Moon Knight".

We had no idea this was such a big episode or we would have tried to make it more special. As it is, we discuss all our usual nonsense and stuff, including the most recent episode of "Moon Knight" and comics.

The show kicks off with a tribute to the late, great, former funniest man alive, Gilbert Gottfried, so be ready for Matt to tell some his favorite Gilbert jokes. Then we talk about this week's episode of Moon Knight and not a whole lot else, really. It was a slow week.

In an episode that took days to record thanks to the magic of the Internet, The Geeks discuss the newest look at "Dr. Strange and The Multiverse of Madness", comics and the first two episodes of Moon Knight. Plus, as the title says, Matt's cat farts right on his lap, so you get to hear the reaction to that.

As our irregular schedule continues, we play a little catch up on the past week or so: the movies we watched, the shows we watched, the comics that got read, basically our usual geekery.

Matt and Justin are joined by Anthony of "Tis The Podcast" to dive DEEP into "The Batman." That's it. That's all there is to say. Do you need anything more?

South Park wasn't funny this week, which was a huge bummer. But we both watched the new "Scream" and the new "Texas Chainsaw Massacre". Matt watched "Ghostbusters: Afterlife" and Justin watched "Antlers" and a completely bonkers film called "Titane".

South Park is back. Peacemaker is awesome. Lots of horror movies are coming out this year. And, we don't know how it happened, but a ton of fun stuff is coming out in May.

Sometimes a couple that's been together a long time needs to bring in a third person to spice things up. On this episode, Justin and Matt welcome Matt Storm from the CPOV Autographs podcast to discuss a variety of nerdy topics.

Not a whole lot goes on this time of year, but Justin did read some comics. Matt finished "Schitt's Creek" and started a rewatch of "Daredevil". "The Book of Boba Fett" started and we talk about that, too.

Our holiday break is over and we're getting one more episode in under the wire for 2021. We talk about "South Park: Post COVID: Return of COVID", "The Matrix: Resurrections", "Spider-Man: No Way Home", toys, random shows and other stuff that pops into our heads.
