In what looked like another boring blowout game, with awful commercials, and an equally bad halftime show talent, things took a dramatic turn in the late stages of this game. Atlanta fans will harken back to the 1991 World Series, as another one that got away. We of course get to all your comments, including multiple call ins from Dave Martin! Also on Stitcher & Double Twist! facebook.com/purplemafiashow @purplemafiashow...

The Vikings secondary refused to listen to coach Zimmer, and shadow Jordy Nelson during the first half on Saturday. This insubordination resulted in utter dominance from the Packers QB/WR duo. Luckily, Adam Thielen responded in kind to Jordy's huge game, but little or no one else joined the fight. As a long-term fan, you know that when a win for this team is needed most, they roll right on their back and get crushed. The Vikings HOME game vs the Indianapolis Colts was even beyond that, it was a no-call-no-show. The Vikings managed to beat the Jacksonville Jaguars, but continued with the same frustrating decisions, and mistakes. As the playoff picture takes shape, we're again reminded how close this team was to not only making the playoffs, but having a bye in the first round! The game against the Dallas Cowboys showed us all, what could have been this year... If only the front office had focused their drafts more towards the offensive line, even on occasion... Happy Thanksgiving Vikings fans! If only the Vikings were ready to carve up the Lions, like it appeared they could. Neither team was spectacular in this game, it's the little things that have plagued this team for the last several weeks. Weather you lose by a lot, or a little, at the end of the day you chalk it up as yet another loss... Also on Stitcher and Double Twist! facebook.com/purplemafiash...

The key to the Vikings success this season has been the pass rush, and hearing how we beat the stuffing out of quarterbacks. What was missing the last four weeks, and what was back this week? The Vikings are in free fall mode, after losing their 4th consecutive game, and lost their left tackle for the season, for the second time this year. Sam Bradford was sharp, but the defense hasn't been what it was a month ago. Once again the Vikings struggled, and this time at home against the Detroit Lions. The defensive backs had their worst game of the season, the short running game was almost useless, and Blair Walsh once again buried the Vikings hopes. Another loss in Soldier Field, another loss to Jay Cutler, and another dirt poor performance from the offensive line. The Vikings game in Philadelphia was quite simply "One Of Those" Virtually nothing went right. When opportunity knocked, the Offense didn't respond, at all... time and time again, along with missed calls, and no offensive line protection what-so-ever. Learn more about your ad choices. The Minnesota Vikings easily dispatched of the Houston Texans, who looked over matched from the get go, and improved to 5-0. We discuss this team compared to the best teams in the NFL. The Minnesota Vikings defense continues to dominate the league, with another smothering performance, this time against the New York Giants. The other very good sign, was the response by Sam Bradford, and the offense, after the other side of the ball gave up a rare gaff just minutes before. For the third week in a row, the Vikings started out poorly, and scared many a fan, but just as quickly, the defense bared down, and the offense woke up. The Purple People Eaters of 2016 recorded 8 sacks against 2015 NFL MVP Cam Newton, frustrating the QB into submission. The Vikings opened their history in US Bank Stadium in amazing fashion, defeating the Green Bay Packers in a nail biter. Sam Bradford got well acquainted with Stefon Diggs, as the two look to be a great combination maybe for years to come. Trae Waynes while showing very positive signs, scared us many times over, but helped save the day in the end. Also on Stitcher and Double Twist! facebook.com/pu...

The Vikings appeared ready to have another week 1 trap against a non-playoff team. Luckily, it was a tail of two halves, as the Purple defense went from missing tackles, to jumping routes, and recovering fumbles, which proved to be too much for Marcus Mariota.
