TOMORROW March 25, 2024 at The City Winery in Boston as part of The Boston Comedy Festival, Tony will be getting his Lifetime Achiev...

Been quit the yuk fest last two weeks for Joe and Jacques (SADLY, Biff is on ER this week) - but the numbers of shows they’re gone to and a couple nights of watching Joe’s Plex till 3am … they might have past the legal limit of laughter allowed.   Jacques has had more “booked shows” in the last month then all last year and is hoping his 1 on 1 classes with mentor Mike Koutrobis and working with Ji...

Hilarious comedian, very talented actress, Composer and recently featured pianist at sold out Carnegie Hall concert – Sarah INFINI-T Takagi joins Joe, Jacques and her fellow native Japanese speaker Biff, for a really fun chat about balancing the many incredible arts she’s has made a name in!   Jacques first chatted with Infini T six months ago about doing the show … but her non-stop tour de force...

Joe and Jacques chat a bit about the amazing wave of recent guest and the (3) sideshows with amazing guest already locked and loaded coming up the next few weeks! Joe has been dragged deeper down Jacques standup rabbit hole as both of them have been working with comedian (co-founder of the Boston Comedy Festival) Jim McCue gearing up Jim’s streaming podcast in prep for this months 24th annual fest...

Dave LaPointe is the host of Jacques’ favorite podcast Complaints & Observations (currently on hiatus) – and where it’s been a minute since C & O’s last episode … Jacques took matters into his own hands and had Dave on CPP!   THIS is a two-part episode (the 2nd to drop … sometime soon is basically Dave explaining how the Euro Football leagues works to Jacques for 90 minutes… per Jacques re...

Joe and Jacques chat the AMAZING sideshows guest as of late and the ones already recorded coming up. As Jacques behest, Joe went with him to his first hosting for a Jim McCue headlining show last week … which lead to a slew of booked shows coming up …which means … Joe’s still on hook to help Jacques with his mid-life cry for help stand up mishaps. The Blizzard of 24 that wasn’t, car registration n...

John Tobin saw a show at Nick’s Comedy Stop in Boston in 1986 and his life has been running comedy venues ever since.   “Look at him.  He’s Adorable” – John’s aunt at his first hosting gig!   Sure … Boston City Council for Boston’s 6tth District (2002-2010) and has been VP of Community Affairs at North Eastern Univ. since 2010 … but really … he’s never NOT been a key figure in the Boston comedy sc...

Just Joe and Jacques as Biff has “tech issues” or … better things to do (and who would blame him…)   Chat the great guest we’ve had of late and some of the next few sideshows coming up.,.    Chat the passing of legendary Carl Weathers … Apollo Creed through 2023 season 3 of the Mandalorian.  Also, talk SNL original cast member - Garrett Morris getting his Star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame (and Ja...

Maria Dennis – Sr. Legal Counsel and Sr. Director of Player Health And Safety for the NHLPA (yeah, THAT NHLPA) is our guest this week. Are we bias? Yes.  Is Maria a dear friend Biff and Jacques have admired and have skated with for close to 3 decades? Yes. So, when WE say, the contributions to woman’s hockey Maria has made since the early 80’s (on and off the ice) truly make her the shoulders ever...

The only thing sadder then Joe and Jacques going out of their way to schedule watching the 1976 made for TV movie “Boy In The Plastic Bubble” together … is them talking abou it on the podcast!  But at least they mix it up with a breakdown of the 1978 Battle Of The Network Stars.    Jacques 13-yr-old futbol fanatic who has NOT been the biggest supporter of woman’s futbol saw the light … thanks to E...

In midst of Snow-Magedon in Boston, we record this week’s podcast and chat Jacques little guy telling the school the cat scratches on his torso was via a knife fight with his grandmother.   Do YOU know what 3 Kings Day (Little Christmas) is … Joe does… sort of.   Joe and Jacques ring in the New Year by watching the 1977 classic Smokey And The Bandit as well as an episode of Streets Of San Francisc...

We end a really good year of the podcast by looking back at a few things that went right in our lives this year… and a look ahead of to fun stuff we hope happens. Biff – Successful year of reconnections (having gone to his HS reunion in Hawaii), reconnected with old friends in Japan when he took his son on a trip to the home land (his sons first trip to the land of the rising Sun.)  AND … Biff got...

It’s Christmas Day and what more could YOU want … then a freshly wrapped episode of CPP? Last regular episode of the year and it has stall…by all…more xmas special chat … a shout out to last weeks sideshow guest Bill Fay and chat about upcoming guest Maria Dennis (NHLPA lead legal council) Jacques chats having hard time coming up with gifts cause his spoiled kids have EVERYTHING… and sad news of h...

Legendary Film Maker and … Co-Founder of Legendary Pictures, Bill Fay zooms in to chat with Joe, Biff and Jacques … who for reasons we still don’t understand has been a close friend and mentor to Jacques for 20 years!   The first two film companies Bill worked for out of college went bankrupt … and then he learned to fly a plane to be Hollywood’s man on the ground in Africa ... along the way worki...

Did you know that KFC is the BIGGEST meal in Japan for Christmas?  No really it is.  Joe knew that.   Biff, Jacques and Joe talk about their Christmas plans and how things are changing as their kids are older.  Couple nice family Christmas stories from yesteryear.   A little Christmas miracle is Jacques has unexpectedly fallen in love with the 2006 Twister Sister “A Twisted Christmas” album.   Joe...

Wayne and Anthony – The host of one of our favorite podcast Open Mic Pain zoom in to talk with Joe and Jacques about how to properly run a focused podcast with a point!   Jacques met Wayne and Anthony on the comic open mic circuit and over last 8 months have become good pals.  It was fun a month ago when they met Joe for first time but already felt like friends who knew each other from listening t...

Biff returns from The Land Of The Rising Sun after taking his son on his first trip to the home land!  Hoping someday for a CP field trip with Biff to Tokyo (I call dibs on wearing the Lugi outfit doing the cart racing through the streets!)   Joe and Jacques finally get to yap their outing to see the amazing Henry Winkler at a NRP book release event in Cambridge and the boys getting to shake hands...

Joe and Jacques saw Brian Longwell (The Corporate Comedian) a few weeks back and were blown away.  Brian is more of an “act” then a stand-up comic.  Part one-man show meets a half hour long hysterical Kids In The Hall sketch. Brian’s path to comedy included a long stop as an engineer at Bell Labs for years before starting his own wildly successful tech company. When we asked when Brian quite his d...

Biff and Jacques chat nick names as Jacques futbol son is on a team where lot of kids (including his 2 best pals) speak Portuguese and his name is Cabelo Longo (Long Hair) … it comes from a very sweet place … it will grow on him (see what I did there) but we LOVE it.  ON OTHER HAND … Cabelo Longo’s U14 teammates had racist things yelled to them in Futbol championship game in Amherst NH. Biff and J...

We each came up with a list of 10 sounds from our childhoods (to early adulthood) that defines us. We knew we’d have some cross over but there were a lot of fun surprises – Here were our list. Biff: Bionic SFX from 6 Million Dollar Man, Space Invaders Aliens Descending, Radio Fuss, Japanese Paper Trucks, Godzilla Cry, Answering Machine Beeps, WKBS Do You Know, Ultra Man Transforming Sounds, Soda C...

Sure, they could have stayed home and watched it for free on Peacock BUT Jacques kids have been waiting nearly 10 years to see the long rumored FNAF (Five Nights At Freddy’s) movie hit the big screen for off to the big screen they went.   Joe and friend of podcast Jim went to Jacques show this past week at Luna Theater in Lowell and they chat headliner Brian Longwell and his MOCK motivational spea...

HOW did we talk Hafen doing weather mapping in Africa and NONE of us made a Toto reference?  WOW!   So part 2 of our talk with long time pal Hafen (allegedly) zooming in from Sweden where (allegedly) he has become a citizen.   We get more into the weeds where I put the case out there that this guy … who has ALL the intangibles a government toppling clandestine black ops off the books organization...

Biff and Jacques have been pals with Hafen for over 25 years.  1998 to 2004 Jacques doesn’t think he hung out with any one person more.   Joe first met Hafen when they were in Jacques’ Starter Wedding together in 1999 (bit of talk about that infamous wedding event on this episode.)   THIS is our first 2-part episode.  Part 2 will drop next week.   It was decided that we will have Hafen back in a f...

No Biff … mostly because Jacques is too dumb to know how the days of the week work.   Jacques had a few “Booked” shows cancel (studio audience sighs) BUT some time the comedy gods (small G) take away and sometimes they give as just as quickly a couple very cool comedy ops fell his way.   Joe, Jacques and his managers wife’s life are so much better with the podcast Strike Force 5 (and Open Mic Pain...
