2 Fast 2 Forever: The Fast and Furious Podcast

We're taking a detour from the Driving School Lap and racing over to the theaters to catch Ford v Ferrari (aka Le Mans 66). Joe answers a bunch of Joey's car questions, we separate the facts of real life from the fiction of the movie, and we talk about the casting of Christian Bale and Matt Damon as Ken Miles and Carroll Shelby. Email us: family@cageclub.me Visit our Patreon page at patreon.com/2f...

We've got "Danza Kuduro" blasting from our speakers, we're towing a money-filled safe behind us, and we're headed back to Rio for Fast Five! The Driving School lap continues as we're once again joined by Cara Gael O'Regan to talk about her favorite parts of this movie, whether or not it surpassed Los Bandoleros as her favorite, and the most Brian O'Conner moments of Fast Five. We also learn a deva...

We're continuing the Brian O'Conner lap with a quick pit stop for Brick Mansions, which was chosen for us by patron Ben Milliman. In this episode, we talk about how Damien Collier and Brian O'Conner could be two sides of the same coin and whether or not RZA is hiding dead bodies in the brick mansions he's building. We also tease our next two lap themes, announce the next pit stop episode, and read...

We're Tokyo Drifting around the third entry in the franchise (for now) as we continue the Driving School Lap in chronological order with Fast & Furious! We welcome back Cara Gael O'Regan to not only talk about the fourth movie in the Fast and the Furious franchise, but also Los Bandoleros, which may wind up being Cara's favorite Fast and Furious movie. We also crack open a new game (inspired by pa...

Charlize Theron may not portray our favorite member of the Fastiverse, but that wasn't going to stop us from taking a pit stop to talk about Hyperdrive, the "American Ninja Warrior for cars" series that she executive produced for Netflix. In this episode, we talk about all ten episodes of the competition reality show, our favorite (and least favorite) drivers and obstacles, and wonder which member...

We're shifting into second gear on the Driving School lap and heading to Miami once again with Cara Gael O'Regan to talk about 2 Fast 2 Furious. Things get a bit visual (we are aware that this is an audio medium and we do apologize) as we break down the best and the worst outfits in the movie, and we also get a lesson on what, exactly, NOS is, and how one may go about acquiring it. Also, Joey make...

“Dude, I almost had you.” What line could be more iconic? We’re celebrating the Paul Walker and Brian O’Conner lap, and kicking our pit stops off with a deep dive into his wiki page on Fandom. Welcome to the Diagonstics mini-series of 2 Fast 2 Forever, where we pop the hood and get our hands dirty on the nittiest and grittiest of details about our favorite movies, favorite characters, and more. In...

The Driving School lap is underway! This lap, we're joined by Cara Gael O'Regan of Wistful Thinking, who has never seen any of the Fast and Furious movies before. We're throwing her in the driver's seat and letting her do a few donuts before taking to the open road and heading back to Southern California to talk about the soundtrack, the dick measuring contests, and so, so, so much pleather found...

Things are starting to get steamy in You Are My Life Span. In this chapter, the role of Leon is played by Rachel. Email us: family@cageclub.me Visit our Patreon page at patreon.com/2fast2forever. Extra special shout-out to Ben Milliman for joining at the “Interpol’s Most Wanted” level or above! Intro music by Nico Vasilo. Interlude and outro music by Wes Hampton.

We've let everyone know that we appreciate a good body, regardless of make, as we broadcast this Lap 4 Tune-Up live from Gisele's garage! (Or is it Braga's garage? Or "Braga's lieutenant's garage," since Gisele is unnamed for another movie or two? Who can say!) In this episode, we're back on the forever grind to open up the biggest mailbag we've ever had, look back at the lap that was, and do our...

We had a bit of a scheduling mix-up this week, so there's no full episode. Sorry! Instead, check out this preview interview that we did with Cara Gael O'Regan (of the Wistful Thinking podcast), who will join us for every episode in Lap 5. Also, make sure you listen for a very special announcement! Email us: family@cageclub.me Visit our Patreon page at patreon.com/2fast2forever. Extra special shout...

It's been four long weeks since we talked about Hobbs & Shaw... so it's time to do it again! This time, we ride with The Mikestir (back from the ridealong lap) all the way to Samoa to go old school and tap into our familial roots. In this episode, we expand on our Italian Job theories, once again wonder where Owen is during this movie (and how a few tweaks could have made this whole issue disappea...

One of the biggest takeaways from Hobbs & Shaw came from a throwaway line. As Shaw walked Hobbs and Hattie through his garage, he pointed at his MINI Cooper and mentioned it was for a previous job he'd pulled. And with that -- plus confirmation from director David Leitch -- The Italian Job was officially inducted into Fast and Furious canon. Now, it's time to come up with all sorts of wacky theori...

Just as Hobbs & Shaw opened our eyes to new revelations and possibilities in Furious, 7, the same is true of The Fate of the Furious. Joining us to talk about the origin of that lovable bald-headed duo (as well as the rest of the film) is Gwynne Watkins, who has written a ton of great pieces about the series. We further dive down the “Is Cipher the mysterious voice in Hobbs & Shaw?” rabbit hole —...

We're getting back to our regularly scheduled 2 Fast 2 Forever programming by getting re-introduced to Deckard Shaw, all over again, in Furious 7! In this episode, we welcome Kate Hudson of Pajiba to talk about the movie, the franchise, and why this movie means so much to her. Considering how much Hobbs and Shaw we get in this movie, the conversation drifts into discussion about the latest install...

Hobbs & Shaw has been out for two weekends. We've already shared our initial thoughts, but now it's time to spoil everything about the movie! We decided to mix up the script and push Furious 7 (Lap 4) back to next week and head to the theaters once again to travel to Los Angeles, London, Moscow, the Ukraine, and Samoa so we could once again fill our heads with the very best that this movie has to...

The Joes headed to the movie theater together — along with many #family members in tow — to watch the biggest movie of the summer: Hobbs & Shaw. They jumped out of the movie, hopped in the car, and recorded their initial (spoiler-free!) reactions and reviews on the podcast. Were they happy? Sad? Eager for more? Ready to see it again? Listen, find out, then email your reactions and your new ranking...

As we all wait to watch Hobbs & Shaw for the first time, the Joes got together in person to chat about Fast & Furious 6 with the often-mentioned Rachel! In this episode, we share fun life recaps in Extracurricular Activities, take another deep dive into the mailbag, and chat about a Fast and Furious Minute that sets a lot of firsts. Then, Joey puts down the mic, gets in his car, and drives up to J...

With Hobbs and Shaw just one week away, we're taking a quick detour from our walk down memory chain to preview the fastest and most furious movie of the summer. Before we talk about what we want and don't want out of the ninth installment in the franchise, we open the mailbag and cover another great Fast and Furious minute. Then, with the memory of the movie's trailers wiped from our brain, we loo...

Our walk down memory chain continues as the Joes head to Brazil to listen to “Danza Kuduro” under the Christ the Redeemer statue and talk about Fast Five! After tracking the chain’s whereabouts in Fast Five, praising the return of Charlize Theron and Helen Mirren to the franchise, and cranking through another Fast and Furious Minute (this time with 100% more Jesse!), we’re joined by the Hoff-Bros:...

It’s the fourth time that we’re talking about Fast & Furious, but unfortunately this episode isn’t sponsored by Wendy’s “4 for $4 deal.” (Shoutout Men’s Wearhouse.) We’re joined by Christian Larson, the co-host of the cult classic podcast Monkey Club, to talk about this soft reboot of the Fast and Furious franchise. Before Larson joins, we crack open the mailbag and dive into the Fast and Furious...

Before we team up with Dom and the rest of the family in Fast & Furious, we’re taking a quick detour to the Dominican Republic for Los Bandoleros! Neither of the Joes had watched this short film before, and while it’s not exactly required viewing, it’s got some great family moments and is far more rewarding than the Turbo Charged Prelude we covered earlier this lap. In this episode, we dive into t...

We're headed back to Japan once again for The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift! This episode features the longest opening segment to date, as we burn through another minute of the original The Fast and the Furious, catch you all up on all the latest goings-on with 2 Fast 2 Forever, and dive into a mailbag whose shape is something out of the Shimmer from Annihilation. Also, we talk about hamburger...

After solving the mystery of how Brian O’Conner got to Miami last week, we’re once again teaming up with Monica Fuentes and Carter Verone as we chat about 2 Fast 2 Furious! After owning up to an omission, talking about the closest thing this movie has to Dom’s necklace, and working our way through the third installment of the Fast and the Furious Minute, we welcome in actor and writer Chris Mollic...

We've followed Brian from California to Miami three times already, but on this fourth journey, we're taking the trip with him by covering the Turbo Charged Prelude to 2 Fast 2 Furious. In this episode, we discuss the most important plot points of this six minute video, including Brian getting his Skyline, evading some cops, and -- most importantly -- meeting Minka Kelly. We also break down the sec...
