Jesus provides us with freedom from things and provides us freedom to things. Freedom from the bondage of our sin, freedom from ourselves and freedom from the penalty of our sins. With Fenn on vacation this week and Jonathan catching up on some sleep, tune in as Brett and Josiah discuss hope and how having an eternal hope and mindset found only in Christ leads us to being able to put the blessings that we have in their proper place and how we have an enduring hope that doesn't shift or move when we go through trials and suffering.

Sometimes there can be a struggle of knowing exactly what the Lord is calling us to do in specific situations throughout our everyday life. Tune in as we try to unpack how to discern between knowing if it is the spirit of God in us that is motivating us to do a specific thing or is it just us doing it out of the "flesh". 

Sometimes our christian walk can be about checking the boxes and kind of formulaic. When we stop trying to put God in a box and truly learn that he doesn't belong there it opens the door to a deeper understanding and revelation of who He is and a deeper walk with Him. Tune in as we talk about the difference in knowing about God and actually knowing Him. 

We come into this episode with no agenda in mind and find ourselves talking about fully relying on the Lord, what that looks like and setting our minds on the things that are above, not on things that are on earth.

A lot of times our circumstances can seem to be overwhelming and cause us to forget the truth found in Christ. Listen in as we discuss how in the midst of our circumstances we can stand firm in the truth of what God says is true.

Episode 12 starts with an interesting interview that we saw of Jeffrey Dahmer professing faith in Jesus and it led us into a discussion of how we can compare ourselves to each other. Ultimately, none of us are deserving of the wonderful grace shown to us through Christ. We hope you enjoy listening!

Today's episode is a little different. Fenn opens the discussion by touching on a quick apologetics topic, why is there evil and suffering in the world. This is a little different from our other episodes and touching on apologetics, certain doctrines and other theology discussions is something we are going to dive into going forward every so often. In today's episode Fenn opens up the discussion that allows us to dive in to what it means for us to be heavy burdened and when we take up the yoke of Christ we can find rest and ultimately things are put into their proper perspective.

In today's episode, we reflect on Good Friday and what Jesus endured on the cross to bring forgiveness of our sins and the resurrection of Christ and what the finished work of Jesus on the cross gives us access to. We hope you are encouraged and enjoy listening along!

Do you ever find yourself praying for things that God has already said he has done for us? Join us as we talk about the fact that we can actually walk in what Christ has already accomplished for us. Watchman Nee's book The Normal Christian Life is a key talking point for us in this episode and we would encourage everyone to read it!

A lot of times we can be stuck in the "wilderness" as believers in Christ. We are saved by faith but still don't experience the abundant life found in Jesus that is available to believers today.
