The Jon Groves Show

Pure In Heart • Not "Blessed are the virgins."  Matthew 5:8 means something much greater and far deeper.  Take it from Matthew who left everything on the table to follow Jesus.  He SAW GOD!  And in his gospel, he will detail how you can sed God, too!  Today, we live in an age of sexual dysphoria, "christian purity culture" and checklist religion that has damaged the defini...

No Godly Men •  As the prophet looks around, there is a death of godly people on the earth.  It's a famine.  Even the seemingly most righteous are like briars one must watch out for.  They have unity, but they don't have Yahweh.  Micah 7:1-6   •••••••••••••••   1) To Support This Content or Receive FREE Exclusive Material, visit:   https://faithful.place/use...

Jesus will disappoint you if you don't understand how God's economy works.  In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus says, "Blessed are the meek, Blessed are the merciful and Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness."  Don't miss this powerful devotion from Pastor Jon Groves from God's Word in Matthew 5.

Breakthrough in Christ |  But what is breakthrough and why do you need it?  In Micah 1 & 2,  the courtroom of justice has passed down a decision against Israel and Judah:  GUILTY ON ALL CHARGES!  But amid this message of coming destruction,  Micah shares a word of hope!  THE BREAKER IS COMING!  Watch this message from Pastor Jon Groves in Micah 1 & 2...

God keeps His promises.  While that should be abundantly positive,  it is a sorrow to some.  Nothing in this passage will be new or shocking, even though Israelites will respond as if they've never heard it before.  The consequences rise to meet the level of the trespass.   1.  What are you all about? 2. Are you happy or sad about God's promises made and promises kept...

You have to be sad in order to be happy?  God's economy often doesn't match the ideals of this world.  Jesus said, “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." in Matthew 5.  What does it mean to mourn?  In this passage we'll discover something deeper than simple pain.  This MOURN is the heaviest of all sad words in Scripture and it must certainly be part of...

What do you think about Go...

Step into the courtroom as God testifies on His own behalf.  The cause for judgment stands.  From Balak to Balaam, from Shittim to Gilgal, God testifies of his faithfulness to His people. 1. Have you repented? 2. What has God done? 3. Time for Gilgal?

Do you feel safe?  What are you trusting? Where's your faith? 3 Questions that might sound near identical, but each of them calls to deep, specific aspects of our life.  In Micah 5:10-15,  Pastor Jon continues our verse by verse study as we discover what brings the wrath of God and how to know if you are safe from it.

Last Days Prophecy as foretold by the prophet Micah in chapter 4.  Today, as we study the Scriptures we will uncover some truths about the physical location of Israel, her people and the kingdom that will be established there.

Loyalty to God VS Loyalty to the preacher can often appear, at surface level to be synonymous.  In Micah 3,  the prophet demonstrates what sets a true minister from God apart from a false teacher of the people.  Israel though rituals would save them, but God lists His indictment against the leaders and teachers of the day.   Journal Questions: 1.  Do you only embrace those...

Numbers 6's "The Lord make His face to shine upon you" contrasted with Micah 3 where God hides his face from the cry of the people is so stark that we must ask, "when or why would God ever hide his face?"   Also in Micah 3,  we'll see the difference between shepherds and butchers when it comes to leading sheep.  Journal Questions:  1.  What is your function and how do...

Gospel preaching is not all bad news, nor is it all good news.  False teaching happens when one only presents half of the truth.  In Micah 2:12-13, we'll discover the purpose for prophecy, Micah's message of hope,  the Millennial fulfillment and a most unique Messianic title.

How do false prophets operate? Who are you listening to? And when is it time to question God?  All this, and more as we study the Scriptures in Micah 2.   Open your Bible...

God hates sin, but he especially hates premeditated oppression through greed and covetousness. In Micah's day, there was economic prosperity and peace on a macro scale, but people's hearts were far from God as they openly practiced sin in the daylight. Where you find distressed people, you will always find oppressive leadership, and God has something to say about those whose relationship is not ri...

One of the greatest schemes of Satan was taking clear, doctrinal issues and labeling them as political.  In part 3 of this conversation with Andrew Sedra, we'll discuss what it looks like when your church leaves a biblical worldview.

You cannot be socially woke and a scriptural witness at the same time. They are a contradiction of terms. If you want to find out when the church refuses to "get political" listen to what's happening in Australia RIGHT NOW with Pastor Andrew Sedra.

There are many worldviews at odds with the gospel.  In this episode, Pastor Andrew Sedra and Evangelist Jon Groves will discuss the singular global plot of Satan disguised under many names.
