The Bantam Golf Podcast

Quick PGA Championship recap, Byron Nelson picks, a debriefing on a partner match I played in last week, and why I thought about quitting golf today. Spoiler alert: I’m not leaving. Please enjoy!

We are absolutely fired up about this week’s PGA Championship. Oak Hill is a beast. We discuss the course and drop a few picks. It’s gonna be a hell of a week. Trust me. Please enjoy!

Tried to keep this one short…we discuss the Wells Fargo Championship, Wyndham Clark’s big win, Elevated Event exhaustion, fighting on the golf course, and if anyone can beat Scottie Scheffler or KH Lee at this week’s AT&T Byron Nelson. Please enjoy!

We discuss the latest in golf news (Cantlay + Lacava, OWGR points and Rory’s return) and deep dive my trip to Pebble Beach. Somehow it’s the longest podcast yet. Please enjoy!

We discuss my upcoming trip to Pebble Beach, why Cypress Point was my bucket list course, LIV Adelaide (am I changing my tune on LIV), and pick Jon Rahm to win the Mexico Open (who else you gonna pick). Please enjoy!

We discuss my thoughts on slow play, Matty Fitz’s win at Harbour Town, why alternate shot is insane and we make a pick for the Zurich Classic. Please enjoy!

We talk about Masters ratings, Jon Rahm’s commitment to the RBC Heritage, some LIV tweets, and pick some golfers for the RBC Heritage this week. Please enjoy!

2023 Masters Golf Tournament recap. Congrats to Jon Rahm. The only 3 sandwiches you need to eat at The Masters and the best items at the Pro Shop this year. Sad this week is over. Please enjoy!

We talk about Day 2 / Round 2 at the Masters. We discuss Brooks’s resurgence and lead heading into the weekend, Rory’s mental game, and the giant tree that fell on hole 17. Oh and we discuss the first rude message I’ve received on Instagram. Please enjoy!

Quick recap of Round 1 at the 2023 Masters. I eat crow on a few of my picks and we get amped for tomorrow’s round. Forgot to mention Rory, but we’ll cover that after his round tomorrow. Please enjoy!

I give my winner for the 2023 Masters Golf Tournament as well as some golfers I think will be in the mix on Sunday. No real surprises here. Sorry for the saltiness, but I’m tired today. Will have a round 1 recap tomorrow night. Please enjoy!

A quick mini-pod on what I saw and experienced at the Masters today with another new intro. Please enjoy!

Went to the Masters practice round today. These are my Monday observations. Will be back tomorrow with some Tuesday observations. Please enjoy!

It’s a slow golf news week. Feels like the calm before the storm. Masters is next week. Valero Texas Open is this week. We pick a few players and get amped for the Masters.

Quick episode for your listening pleasure. We discuss some LIV news that dropped over the weekend and my pick for the Dell Match Play event starting tomorrow. Please enjoy!

The episode everyone has been waiting for…my picks for the Valspar Championship. We start with why there’s no interview this week. We discuss the USGA / R&A announcement from earlier today. We discuss THE PLAYERS and then move right on to the Valspar Championship. Please enjoy!

THE PLAYERS tournament starts tomorrow. I give you a little of my history with the course (TPC Sawgrass) and make a few picks for THE PLAYERS. Still not sure why it needs to be all caps, but I’m following the trend they started.

I give you a couple of picks for the Arnold Palmer Invitational and discuss the PGA Tour’s (wild) announcement today regarding the 2024 elevated events. Also, a lizard dropped from the ceiling on my table and I didn’t flinch. Enjoy! Ps next week’s picks will be out much sooner.

I watched more LIV golf than I should have this weekend. I also listened to Steven Levitt’s podcast with Greg Norman and I am more confused about LIV than I’ve ever been. If you’re a LIV fan, maybe don’t listen to this podcast. Thanks in advance!

This is the very first episode of the Bantam Golf Podcast. It’s more of a test episode. I probably should have called it episode 0, but you’ve got to start somewhere. It’s an intro to the podcast with a preview of things to come. There’s a little bit on LIV, a little bit on Tiger, some bad jokes, a lot of “again(s)” and definitely some “umms.” I hope you dig it.
