Isaiah didn’t have any particular idea for this episode and instead came at us with a bunch of different little things that have come up from his game. So little more of a rapid fire style with this episode.  YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCf1ILEpdmgiEHnc6Agaz4KQ Twitter: https://twitter.com/SessionsCanceld   Background music by Kevin Dubois: https://www.instagram.com/kevindubea...

Inspired by the events of a D&D session, some videos online, and video games Josh wanted to bring up some ideas about spicing up combat. Specifically getting into making tactical focused games more interesting and not becoming too dull by doing the same thing over and over.  YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCf1ILEpdmgiEHnc6Agaz4KQ Twitter: https://twitter.com/SessionsCanceld  ...

SPOOOOOOOOOKY TIIIMMMEEE. Sam wants to talk a little horror and how it gets used in tabletop games. Rocks fall and everyone dies. That’s the best way to get rid of PCs right? Isaiah wanted to talk a bit about player characters dying in the game and how to handle it. What kind of thinking you should have to really add that cinematic feel to your games.  YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCf1ILEpdmgiEHnc6Agaz4KQ Twitter: https://twitter.com/SessionsCanceld   Background music by Kevin Dubois: https://www.instagram.com/kevindubeast/

A little break from Mat’s 3 year campaign due to Mat having no internet. So instead we take a little stroll down fantasy lane. We’re talking about the differences between high fantasy and low fantasy and how to use them in your campaign.  YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCf1ILEpdmgiEHnc6Agaz4KQ Twitter: https://twitter.com/SessionsCanceld   Background music by Kevin Dubois: https:...

At what speed do you move things along? When do you drop the boss fight on the players? Do you have any pacing rules you use to control the flow of things? Isaiah wants to know how we deal with pacing our games. Josh often rants and raves about people playing games other than D&D. There are lots of reasons and benefits from picking and at the very least skimming through different systems and Josh has been doing just that recently. So we are to discuss how we go about grabbing new systems and looking through them. YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCf1ILEpdmgiEHnc6Agaz4KQ Twitter: https:...

Should your game reward combat or role playing? Just one or the other? Probably both. Either way we talk about rewards and where you get them from in your games in this episode.
