Sermons

In this message from pastor Dave, we continue our study of the Tabernacle and find that, though the worship of God ended at the altar for God's people under the Mosaic covenant, in Christ our worship begins at the altar, the cross of Christ. Join us as we boast in the cross of Christ and learn to present ourselves to God as living sacrifices in Christ Jesus our Lord.

In this sermon from Pastor Ben, we see that God's solution for the separation His people's sin created between them was to come dwell among them in a tent. He did that then with the tabernacle, in Christ at the incarnation, and now He's made his people His dwelling place until He comes again and we will dwell with and in Him forever.

In this sermon from Ben, we behold the glory of the holy God desiring and making a way to live among His people. God gave Israel the tabernacle and its articles to be shadows that truly pictured heavenly realities to come, and the substance belongs to Christ.

In this sermon from David, we see God's heart and design for covenant worship in his confirmation of the Mosaic covenant with Israel.

In this Easter 2024 sermon, we behold the resurrected Christ and the good news of peace with God through Him. How are we called to bear witness to Him? In this message from Ben, we see that Peter proclaims that God the Father anointed Christ, the resurrection proved Him, the apostles witnessed Him, and the prophets proclaimed Him. Let us worship Him!

In this sermon from Dave, we behold God's provision and promises to his covenant people. In this text, we see God's call to us to be careful to listen to and obey him as he continues to dwell with us and to save us in His slow and steady work of sanctification.

In this sermon from Ben, we continue to dive into applications of God's moral law in the civil life of Israel, and we behold both God's holiness and his mercy and his call on us to be like him.

In this sermon from Ben, we behold what God's law requires of us with regard to the property he's entrusted to us and the property he's entrusted to others. We see the dignity he's given to all in giving them a right to private property, and we see the glory of laying our rights down when he calls us to for the sake of Christ and his gospel.

In this message from David, we dive into the book of the covenant, God's civil laws to the nation of Israel. In these laws, we behold the character and wisdom of the God who is holy, righteous, and good. The law of God was not written in a vacuum. They come to humanity and speak to us as we are. They are a reflection of God’s heart, and in it true righteousness and justice are revealed. We have to...

In this sermon from Ben, we see how God reveals himself to his people in his holiness so that they might learn to fear him and keep his commandments. In Exodus 20, the people plead with Moses for a mediator, and God has gloriously answered in sending the Lord Jesus Christ to be both our atoning sacrifice and the one Mediator between God and man. So how now shall we consider the fear of God and thi...

In this sermon from pastor Ben, we behold Christ's call to faith and prayer as our primary means of building his kingdom with him. As Bunyan said, we can do more than pray after we have prayed, but we cannot do more than pray until we have prayed. Will we take up this spiritual weapon that has divine power and be a channel of Christ's life and power in our town? May he help our unbelief as we look...

As we continue to talk about joining Christ in building his church, we consider in this sermon from pastor Ben the privilege and opportunity in front of us in getting to give to the house of our God. May God use us to build a church for the glory of God that serves the worship of the nations and future generations.

In this sermon from pastor Dave LeBlanc, we discover why the church needs its members, why the members need the church, and how we can press on to build the church together. Come delight in being part of the body of Christ with us!

As we continue our Behold and Build series, Pastor David Townsend takes us through God's blessing on his people and his commands to us to begin building his kingdom through everyday obedience in our households. Come glory in God's goodness in his design for families in the kingdom of God.

In this sermon from Luke 5, pastor Dave LeBlanc outlines seven characteristics of true disciples of Christ. Let's press on together in living lives of faith in Christ, whole-heartedly obeying him in big and little ways, continually pressing further out into the deep to know him and make him known.

In this sermon from Ben, we see the great privilege and duty we have in building Christ's church with him. Our prayer is that we would build this year, together, with one heart - nothing impossible as we labor in His strength with one heart. Together growing deep in sound doctrine, growing up as we use the gifts God's entrusted to us, growing out as our town is drawn to the light of Christ. May th...

In this sermon from Ben, we study the necessity and privilege of God's gracious gift of revealing Christ to us. Let's behold him and his glory by His Word with unveiled faces!

In this sermon from pastor Ben, we behold the love the Father has given to us in adopting us as His children, and we look together at the call to holiness in light of our hope in Christ. May the Lord bless you through the preaching of His Word!

Boaz's integrity, Ruth's redemption, and the future Kinsman Redeemer. In this conclusion of our Ruth series, pastor David walks us through Ruth 4 and helps us to glory in Christ, the Redeemer who was and is to come.

In this message from Dave, we see Boaz as a type of Christ, our Redeemer, and we see how God works His redemptive purposes through human agency as His people embody faith, hope, and love.

In this sermon from Ben, we continue our Advent study in the book of Ruth in beholding steadfast love and faithfulness throughout chapter 2. We see how the people and events of this chapter point us to finding refuge in Christ and our being strengthened by His Spirit to work out our faith with tangible acts of love.

In this sermon from Ben, we begin our 2023 Advent sermon series in Ruth. We're introduced to the story of Naomi and Ruth - to both their devastating losses and Ruth's remarkable faith. Join us as we look away from our emptiness to the God who gives hope in the dark.

In this final sermon on the 10 Commandments, pastor David Townsend shows us how the command not to covet serves as a sort of summarization and exclamation point to the entire decalogue. It is the final arrow drawn and released at the heart of transgression and lawlessness, exposing the depth of our idolatry and God's goodness in how he's ordered the world.

In this message on the 9th commandment, Pastor Dave helps us to understand God's command that our lives be free of all deceit, gossip, and slander, and how by the Spirit of Christ we might obey His commandment in every sphere of life.

In this sermon from Ben, we hear God's call to His people not to steal, but to instead be content, to do honest work, and to give generously to God and to people.
