We constantly seek after experiences, we try and find purpose and pleasure in the things that our eyes and hearts desire. Yet the cry of Solomon in Ecclesiastes is that "Meaningless, meaningless, everything is meaningless". So how can we discover eternal life and endless discoveries?

We look to many things for security, but especially wealth and possessions. Jesus tells us in this parable (Luke 12v1 - 21) how to deal with "the prosperity problem", how we should act when our prosperity is greater than our need.

As followers of Jesus he calls us to go out and make more disciples. How can we proclaim the gospel, promote the gospel and pray? And are we more like a bush tucker man or a wildlife warrior?

A healthy marriage will be one characterised by humility and true repentance. As we continue through the story of Hosea and his marriage to an unfaithful wife, we are taught again of what must characterise our relationship with God.

Amazing grace, how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me! In Hosea we see the 8th century prophet living out the amazing story of God's grace. This reflects the love God has for his adulterous people, and us.

God's people have rejected Him. They have been unfaithful. He wants to call them back, but words alone will not get the message across. The prophet Hosea is called to 'act out' the Father's love for his adulterous people. This is the first in our new series on Hosea, a book of judgement and hope.

There are times when as Christians in our faithlessness our hearts lose hope. When God's rule and relevance is openly challenged. When even leaders and politicians, in open rebellion, plot against God. What is God doing and why does He let it continue? Psalm 2 addresses this very question.

What does it mean to choose a life that is blessed and where do we find our strength.

This is the final week looking at Paul's first letter to the young Thessalonian church, 1 Thessalonians 5:12-28. We see that through the growth of faith, hope and love, Jesus brings about genuine change in the hearts of His people.

Paul continues his letter to the Thessalonians encouraging them to live in the light of the return of Jesus. Here in chapter 5:1-11 he teaches the young church more about the return of Jesus, exhorts them to get ready for the return of Jesus, and asks them to encourage one another as they await that day.

We continue through Paul's first letter to the Thessalonians in chapter 4, verses 13-18. Our idea of what will happen when we die is not one of wishful thinking, or a 50/50 chance. It is a sure and confident hope based in the death and resurrection of Jesus.

How are we to live as Christians? How should our behaviour reflect our identity in Christ? We get stuck into 1 Thessalonians 4:1-12 which gives clear teaching on sex, relationships and our work.
