The Holy Spirit does more than visit us in a church service or help us through an occasional crisis. He is God with us and within us. He fellowships with us, leads us, strengthens us, and assures us that we belong to Christ. Scripture says that God has sealed us with the Holy Spirit and placed His Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee. That seal gives us confidence for today and hope for all that Go...

There is power in unity. Unity does not mean uniformity; it does not require us all to be the same. It means we are united around a common vision and mission. When unity leads to partnership, something greater becomes possible. Even on a purely human level, people working together can accomplish far more than they could alone. As the familiar acronym for team reminds us, “Together, Everyone Accomp...

The Holy Spirit is not an impersonal force to be studied from afar. He is the third person of the Godhead, co-eternal with the Father and the Son. He has been given to live within us, come alongside us, transform us, comfort us, and empower us for God’s purposes. At Pentecost, fifty days after the resurrection of Jesus, the Holy Spirit was poured out on the church. We read about this outpouring in...

Healing is not a reward we earn. It is covenant mercy revealed in Jehovah-Rapha and secured for us by Jesus Christ, the Mediator and Guarantee of a better covenant. That truth must become the anchor of our faith, because much of what we call faith is rooted in experience. If something good happens, we say God is good. If a prayer is not answered as we expected, we begin to question His heart. If s...

God did not create us merely to know about Him. He created us to know Him—to walk with Him, enjoy His presence, hear His voice, and live in fellowship with Him. We see this from the beginning of Scripture. In Genesis, God created Adam and Eve in His image and placed them in the garden. Even after their encounter with the serpent and their fall into sin, they recognized the sound of the Lord coming...

Prevailing Faith, Prevailing Prayer, and the Power of UnityGod does not merely save us from something; He saves us for something. In Christ, He gives us a new identity. He forgives us, begins His healing work in us, places us in His body, puts His Spirit within us, and makes us a new creation. Jesus has rendered the old person powerless; our part is to yield to the new life of the Spirit.

Throughout this Empowered for Purpose series, I have been looking at the apostle Peter. I love Peter because he is so much like us. He was an ordinary man with a trade, a wife, and a life already underway. Then Jesus came along, and everything changed. Peter heard the call every disciple eventually hears: “Come, follow Me.” His life took a new trajectory.

Physical healing is a wonderful gift, but the greatest miracle in this message is the forgiveness of sin. None of us can be religious enough, work hard enough, or live perfectly enough to earn salvation. That is why Christ came and shed His blood. He heals bodies, but the ultimate healing is the healing of the soul: our sins forgiven, our brokenness restored, and our lives made right with the holy...

Favor is not favoritism; it is God’s empowering grace given for kingdom purposes. Over the past several weeks, we have followed the apostle Peter’s journey from failure to restoration, from an old identity to a new one, and from human weakness to a Spirit-empowered life and ministry. Peter became a great leader in the Church, but his transformation did not begin with a platform. It began with the...

Our identity is rooted in Christ. It is not rooted in our mistakes, defined by our failures, or determined by others’ opinions. Having an identity in God means that our deepest worth and sense of self are defined by our relationship with Him. Consider the significance of that truth. The God of creation—the eternal, omnipotent, omnipresent, and perfect God—created you. David writes: “For You formed...

Last month, we discussed Christ the Healer—how divine healing is not a fringe doctrine or merely the emphasis of a modern movement. Healing is a revelation woven throughout Scripture. From the beginning of the Bible to its conclusion, we see the Father’s heart revealed through restoration, redemption, reconciliation, and healing. Like, share and subscribe to stay connected! One thing that trips us up in a storm is losing our sense of peace when we are no longer anchored in God’s eternal perspective. We forget that Christ’s kingdom has no end. We forget that the peace of God has no end. Troubles come and go. Situations arise and eventually pass. But how we stay anchored in our relationship with the Lord determines how we navigate the journey.

Life brings storms. Some storms come suddenly. Some build slowly over time. Some are caused by circumstances beyond our control. Some are the result of human choices. Some are allowed by God to strengthen, refine, and prepare us. And some storms are sent by the enemy to stop, overthrow, or derail us from God’s purpose.

Ociel Monroy shares how we can fully trust in Jesus during seasons of uncertainty, pain, and fear. No storm is greater than God’s power, and His peace will carry us through every trial. Stay anchored in faith. Jesus is still in control. matter how strong the storm may be, Jesus remains faithful through it all. In life’s hardest moments, we can choose faith over fear and trust that God is still in...

Jesus lived in response to the Father, not to the devil or to circumstances. Jesus modeled dependence on the Father and the Holy Spirit, and he invites us to do the same. However, when we allow worry and fear to control us, we limit the authority we have been given as God’s children and citizens of heaven. Worry and fear left to rule in our minds will dilute our confidence in asking God. Today, I...

Jesus came to redeem us—to restore us, to bring us back, if you will, to His original intent. That intent was for us to walk with God in the cool of the day, and to live in His abundant life—to live continually in God’s presence. From the very beginning, the theme of healing runs throughout Scripture—from the Old Testament to the New. This is not a secondary theme; it is central to God’s heart and...

While we can’t control the outcome of prayer, we can control our response to situations. Jesus lived in response to the Father, not to the devil or to circumstances. Jesus modeled dependence on the Father and the Holy Spirit, and he invites us to do the same. Confident prayer is rooted in our intimate relationship with Jesus. As we choose to stay in God’s love, peace, and joy, our faith deepens, m...

At the center of Jesus’ teaching on prayer in John 15 lies a profound and often misunderstood promise: “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you” (John 15:7 NKJV).At first glance, this statement can seem sweeping—almost absolute. Jesus appears to offer His followers an extraordinary assurance: whatever you ask will be done. Yet this...

When it comes to petitionary prayer, “Do you have the right to ask God for your requests?”When it comes to prayer, there are different aspects to consider. For example, prayer is mainly about communion with God. At its core, prayer should be a joyful connection with our creator, savior, and friend. But prayer also involves petitionary elements. In the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus encourages us to ask, “Gi...

There are moments in life when everything hinges on a single question. Not a trivial question, but one that reorders how you see reality, suffering, hope, and even your own future. Easter confronts us with that kind of question:  Did Jesus really rise from the dead—and if He did, what does that mean for my life right now? This is not merely a doctrinal issue. It is not an abstract theological clai...

As we enter Passion Week, I have been reflecting on what it truly means for us to rediscover our identity in Christ and to live out His new life within us. Over the past few weeks, we have been laying a foundation—understanding who we are because of what Jesus has accomplished

Last week, we began exploring what it means to be in Christ—our new identity. And as we continue, the goal is not merely to gather information, but to renew our minds and fully embrace what God says is already true about us. Transformation in the Christian life does not begin with striving—it begins with revelation. It begins when we see clearly who we are because of Jesus. Like, share and subscri...

One of the fundamental questions people ask throughout life is simple but profound: Who am I? Closely related are other questions: Why was I created? What is my purpose? What gives my life meaning? Many people answer those questions by pointing to what they do. They define themselves by a career, an education, a role in the church, a family position, or personal success. However, Scripture directs...
