Multiply Church Podcast

Main Idea: We are called to make much of Christ. Questions: Are you open to God changing your entire life? What is keeping you from putting Jesus first? Where do you need to submit to the Lord?

Main Idea Paul was determined to obey God, even to the point of death. He counted the cost of following Jesus and found that Jesus is worth everything. Have you counted the cost? Questions Have you personally counted the cost of following Jesus?  How has your own timidity/fear prevented you from boldly telling the story of how God has saved you and what life has been like since? Have you written y...

Elders set an example for, know, lead, feed, and protect the church over which the Holy Spirit has given them authority.  Paul Set An Example for the Ephesian Elders He lived among them and they knew him. (V. 18) He displayed immense humility (v. 19a) He labored alongside them through tears and trials (v. 19b) He was bold in his proclamation of the truth (v. 20) He modeled a life compelled by &amp...

We must never waver in proclaiming Christ as crucified, risen, and Lord. Our approach to the proclamation of Jesus will change depending on our audience, but the core of the message itself will never change. We will be met with mixed reviews but our labor is not in vain. We can entrust Jesus with our expectations, reputation, and the results of our proclamation because He is Lord, He is good, it i...

What is your next step in speaking to someone about Christ?

In essentials, unity. In non-essentials, liberty. In all things, charity. Congregational disagreement is an opportunity for fellowship and growth in Christ rather than separation and ostracism. Our identity in Christ transcends all earthly divisions. Our goal should always be reconciliation because Jesus is worthy. Things We Can Learn: Christians will see things differently. We shouldn’t be surpri...

What we experience may be best described as "one-fifth of reality." We are often enamored with what we can experience with our five senses. Yet, there are "four-fifths of reality" that we are missing. God is always acting and moving. He invites us to experience true reality; all five-fifths, through faith in Him.

Only Jesus can (1) unite people to Himself and one another and (2) build His Church. If you are far from God or feel far from God, Jesus’s invitation is to draw near to Him in faith because He has drawn near to you! If your response to those far from God (and different than you) drawing near to God is critical, you need to repent and believe the good news of Jesus. You too were once far from God....

Do you know God conceptually, or have you been personally called into relationship with Him? Is your conscience bound to God’s will or your own? What areas of your heart and mind are more bound by your conscience than God’s Word and will? How does that/could this keep you from being a faithful witness? The Holy Spirit, through the Word of God, brings clarity to our confusion and unbinds our consci...

1. Have you truly placed your faith in Jesus? 2. Are you living like it?

Are you a giver or a taker? Are you living or dying? What prevents you from pursuing life in Christ?

Jesus lived, died, and rose for God's glory and our salvation. Stephen lived and died for God’s glory and the good news of Jesus. Do you truly believe Jesus is worth living for and dying for? If so, repent and surrender your life to Jesus.

Do you fear God? The Christian life is one of simultaneous joy and suffering in and for Christ. The apostles rejoiced in their suffering because they saw it as an honor to endure hardship for Jesus’ sake; showing us that suffering for Christ can be a source of great strength and joy. Suffering with Christ is normative for the Christian life. We will suffer. By God’s grace, may we suffer well. No m...

Main Thing: We should pray (as a body of believers) for the power to endure for God's glory instead of seeking our own comfort. Application: Look for ways to give generously, sacrificially, and gladly. Faithfully serve as Barnabas-like servants in light of Christ's gospel and grace. Experience the unity that comes from giving generously and living in servant-heartedness.

A disciple of Jesus is someone who devotes himself/herself to being with Jesus, being with His people, becoming like Him, and doing as He did. Spirit-empowered boldness comes through knowing Jesus intimately and being with Him. Jesus invites us to come be with Him, become like Him, and do what He did for His glory and the expansion of His Kingdom. You can’t know it all. You can’t do everything. Yo...

Healing is available for far more people than are willing to walk into healing that only Jesus can provide.

When the Church embraces the Person, presence, power, and unity of the Holy Spirit… cities, nations, and the world are changed. What do we do with this knowledge? We pray for a fresh filling of the Holy Spirit. We pray for a movement of the Holy Spirit. We commit to being with Jesus; unified in His name as a Church for His glory; and we prioritize loving Him, one another, and others above all else...

In this sermon, Zach answers the questions "What are Elders? And what are Deacons?".

What is the Gospel? The Gospel is the good news that God the Father, in and through the Person and work of Jesus and by the power of the Holy Spirit, has adopted us, justified us, is changing us, and will glorify us for His glory and our good. What is the Church? The Church is the Gospel on display! What is Church Membership? Church membership is a formal, committed relationship between a Christia...
