Joining the boys is Joe's horror bestie, Valeska Griffiths, who unpacks why this film is so important for female and/or queer horror fans. We discuss the film's nostalgic value, i...

Pride month continues with a queer positive slasher film that most people have never seen! We're joined by fellow queer podcasters Andrew and Matty, aka FriGay the 13th, to unpack the delirious madness of Butcher, Baker, Nightmare Maker (aka Night Warning ). This exploitation/video nasty tends to make waves for Susan Tyell's incestuous relationship with her twinky son, but the real topic here is t...

Continuing our Pride Month marathon, we're checking in with Clive Barker's third (and final) directorial effort 'Lord of Illusions', which features the first (and only) live-action appearance of Barker's recurring protagonist Harry D'Amour (Scott Bakula). Hold on to your minling balls, because we're heading to Japanese-occupied Korea with return guest Jenny Nulf (check out our previous episode on Fatal Frame ) to discuss Park Chan-wook’s masterful and twisty film The Handmaiden. After a brief history lesson, we dive right into this lengthy little film to marvel at how nothing in Park's semi-loose adaptation of a Victorian era-set British novel gets...

Grab your tiara, your emerald gown and your murder cape because it's prom season and the campaign to crown a Queen is vicious! Mary Lou Maloney is slaying the competition, bedding all of the boys and leaving her mark on the confessional wall...and on the stage. Fair warning, though: this is not a film to watch if you're already pregnant.. Join us as we discuss the greatnes...

Just in time for its tenth anniversary, the boys head to Elm Street to revisit Platinum Dunes’ worst remake. This film is a disaster for several reasons: from its condensed production timeline to its unmemorable set pieces to its extremely miscast leading lady, Snoozey Mara (credit the Halloweenies podcast for that gem!). What's extra frustrating is how likable the rest of the cast is! Jackie Earl...

We're joining forces with Tyler Jensen and Roman Chimienti, the directors of the superb queer documentary Scream, Queen! My Nightmare on Elm Street , in Phoenix Arizona (and later Orange Country, California) to discuss the "Other Side" in the 1986 sequel  Poltergeist II: The Other Side ! Happy 4/20, y'all! We're celebrating with a pack of giggle sticks, a chocolate brownie-scented DVD box and a movie musical! That's right, we're discussing the TV film adaptation of the stage musical adaptation of the 1936 propaganda film: Reefer Madness! Just hope we don't turn into cannibalistic murderers like some of the people in this movie. Before we take a hit, we go into our own personal his...

You didn't think we would let the co-creator/showrunner of The CW's Ringer (starring Sarah Michelle Gellar as twins!) and the co-writer of The Perfection (one of our absolute favorite films of last year) go without spilling the tea, did you?! Eric was kind enough to chat with us a little longer about the behind the scenes drama that allowed Ringer to embrace its true campy potential ~5-6 episodes...

Grab your clear raincoat, your overnight bag and your reservation at Dorsia! The boys, along with special guest Eric Charmelo (co-creator/showrunner of The CW's Ringer and co-screenwriter of The Perfection ) time travel back to the 80s to revisit Mary Harron's masterful satire of Wall Street capitalism and sociopathy just in time for its 20th anniversary. Who's ready for a few good pranks? The boys hit the Canadian West Coast for a weekend retreat at the palatial island home of their Vassar friend, Muffy St. John , but the weekend doesn't go quite as planned. There are secret abortion cassettes, utterly unfathomable sex positions and some of the worst 80s fashion we've ever seen. Oh...and murder. There's something unusual about this late entry slas...

Riding shotgun is Cecil Baldwin, the narrator of Welcome to Night Vale ! Join us as Cecil educates us on the goings-on of 1980s New York City, which is not  actually filled with green and magenta lighting. We finally make our way to the emptiest s...

In their attempt at social distancing, the boys abandon the city and head deep into the woods. Along for the ride is Girls, Guts & Giallo 's Annie Rose Malamet, who schools the boys on all things punk (and Lisa Frank) so that they can understand the annoying teens in Jenn Wexler's The Ranger . Are you ready for two films in one? On one hand, we've got an 80s slasher throwback featuring punks vs au...
