Gracewood Community Church Messages

The world says a lot about who Jesus is. But the question we all have to answer is: Who is Jesus to me? In this series, as we approach the Easter season, we'll explore who the Bible says Jesus is.

The more we understand God’s Word, the more we can love it and apply it to our lives. The Bible was written over a period of 1600 years, in over a dozen countries, on three continents, by 40 people in three different languages. Through all of this, the Bible remained one story because it had one Author - God!

Our lives are marked by our priorities, so what we do first communicates something so significant in our lives. The first four words of the Bible, found in Genesis 1:1, say, “In the beginning God…” These words should be our life's motto as they communicate that God came, and should come, before everything else. In this series, we explore how to put God first in prayer, and how to make prayer a pri...

As we begin 2026, let's throw off everything that hinders us from all that God has for us by surrendering our lives fully to Him. While many face the year discouraged, Scripture reminds us that in Christ we are new creations with real hope and potential for change. But often our struggle is an “image issue”—favoring our way over God’s—and God urges us to realign with His design. By surrendering co...

2026 can be a fresh start if we are willing to close the door on yesterday and open the door to tomorrow. This past year may have had disappointments or hurts, but God can use it all, and 2026 can be full of healing and purpose if we'll lean into His leading. Using the story of Joshua leading the Israelites into the promised land found in Joshua 1:2-9 (NLT), we can see how to move forward in confi...

This Christmas season, we're exploring special moments in the birth story of Jesus that changed everything. From Joseph's obedience to Mary's surrender, from the shepherds' worship to the wise men's journey, each moment reveals a powerful truth that when ordinary people respond to God's call, extraordinary things happen. These are moments that matter and can transform our lives today—because the s...

There will be times when it feels like we're taking one step forward, then two steps back in life. Today, we'll look at Joseph's story—how his setbacks weren't wasted but used by God for a comeback—and how we can gain God's perspective to experience the same, inspired by Jesus' ultimate comeback on the cross.

The holiday season is an exciting time for gathering around the table and spending time with loved ones. But there is another table we've been invited to, which those of us who are already seated at must share with others. In this message, we'll explore how Jesus invited people to the table of a relationship with Him, and how we should prepare our hearts to do the same.

Every believer faces an invisible battle that's just as real as anything we can see. In this series, we'll explore what Scripture reveals about spiritual warfare and the conflict that surrounds us. We'll also look at how to identify the enemy's strategies, learn about the spiritual armor God provides, and how we experience the victory Jesus has already won on our behalf. Our hope is that this seri...

We all have a lot going on in our own lives, but it’s important that we aren’t so focused on ourselves that we lose focus on the world around us that desperately needs God because God has chosen us to be a part of what He wants to do in it.

Bearing good fruit and living out Jesus' values are what glorify God. The world longs for what Spirit-led lives offer. The fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control shows who we are and indicates if we’re living as God intends. When led by the Spirit, doing right becomes instinctive, not just rule-based obedience. In this 9-part series, we...
