In this installment of Christ Chapel Conversations, Amy, Justin and Zach talk through what rest is and what rest is not. It is critical to our faith and our life staying connected to Christ to know the difference.

Jesus is the filter and final word. When studying Scripture, it is important to anchor in truth and see it through the lens of Jesus. When Nehemiah returns to Jerusalem, he confronts sin, addressing issues such as relationships and the Sabbath. Looking at these topics, we can draw truth from the life and words of Jesus.

Joy is found in God Alone. God causes the Israelites to have joy and commit themselves to joyous praise.  He teaches them where to locate their joy and how to have joy that isn’t based on feelings or circumstances but based on an everlasting relationship with Him.

The people of God decide that they want to make a covenant(a promise to God) and they want to do life differently.  They want to handle relationships, resources, and work God’s way.  In this message we learn how to make God the center of everything.

Easter Sunday! We continue in our series in Nehemiah and then connect it to the death and resurrection of Jesus. The people of Israel confess who they are, who God is and they appropriately respond.  The Gospel(good news) of Jesus also dictates and appropriate response!

In this week's message we cover three whole chapters of Nehemiah. Chapters 6 & 7 mark a turning point in the book of Nehemiah as Gods people humble themselves before God and turn back toward Him.

This week we learn the difference between a selfish leader and a servant leader. Nehemiah uncovers a system that lays heavy burdens on people. Throughout Chapter 5 we learn how to be a leader that lightens the load on the shoulders of the people we influence.
