What Does Victorious Faith Look Like? by bradamckinney

We must not forget the lessons we have learned about fearing the LORD and not fearing man! We must remember what the reverential fear of the LORD is and what the reverential fear of the LORD is not! We must be reminded consistently of the many blessings and rewards of possessing and walking in the reverential fear of the LORD.

As we grow in our knowledge of who Jesus is and we are impacted by our understanding of His great love for us we are moved to yield our lives to His authority in reverential fear.  As our knowledge of Jesus grows our faith and belief in His sovereignty and authority over every aspect of our life grows.  As we recognize His absolute power over all, we wisely humble ourselves before Him who has crea...

Our words are extremely powerful!  They can crush the human soul leading to physical and spiritual death.  Our words can also be extremely powerful in healing the spiritual heart, restoring the soul, and inspiring the one who receives words that edify and encourage.  We must hate the perverse and unwholesome words so common in this human experience.  We must hate the ugly habits and self indulging...

Morning Assembly Sermon by Brian Bragg

The Scriptures teach us to be every checking our understanding and motives regarding our thought life and our ways of living.  Just as the LORD has spoken, "All the ways of a man are clean in his own sight, but the LORD weight the motives."  He also says that, "There is a way which seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death."  Brethren, in fearing the LORD we must to know how He defines...

Today we will step back and examine another definition of "Fearing the LORD."  This morning's sermon is titled, "The Fear of the LORD is to Hate Evil- Pride and Arrogance!"  We have already defined the biblical definitions in the sermon dated March 12th of this year.  Today we will examine the reason why the LORD says we must hate the evil of pride and arrogance.  Both pride and arrogance are dest...
