The more we consume the Word of God, the more confidence we have in the truth of the Word of God. Scripture says we have the mind of Christ; therefore, consume the Word with His mind --- full faith and trust in the power of the Holy Spirit. This will grow us in His knowledge allowing us to be vigilant in testing what we hear (worldly teaching/false teaching) against Scripture. There are a lot of l...

1 Corinthians 2 Today, as I write this study on a book that I battle with so terribly, I pray. And in my prayer for wisdom and knowledge, I see, “but we have the mind of Christ.” I sit silently in this truth. (Stand in Truth; page 26) Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

We know He's always with us --- that we are always filled with Him. Sometimes we feel it; other times we do not. Regardless of the earthly feeling, we trust that Scripture is true and that the Holy Spirit is always present. This truth gives us the freedom to be real with Him and with one another. John 10 and Ezekiel 34 came to life in our discussion today. May we never trample or muddy what the Lo...

1 Corinthians 1 May I set out a basket? I hope it will be a small one, but setting out a basket is necessary. Here is my request as you enter this study: Will you drop a rock into our beloved basket? You can label it or drop it in anonymously. You can cling to it if so desired. I certainly do at times. Feel free to shove your rock in your pocket or cute handbag. Again, I certainly have. In f...

We can relax and rest in the work the Holy Spirit is doing with our unsaved family and friends. The Holy Spirit can give us peace even when we see friends and family walking in darkness. Without fail, saying the name of Jesus will produce fruit. Pray in accordance with the mighty things our God can do. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

The job of the Holy Spirit is to work around the lives of the unsaved and in the lives of the saved. The Holy Spirit never stops working. 2000 years without rest. Ponder that. Allow this truth to be a salve to your heart for your unsaved family and friends. Instead of wearing the weight of your unsaved person, will you lift them up in prayer and embrace the Joy of the Lord? The Holy Spirit has it!...

Past mistakes/regrets of saying no to God help us grow to saying yes more easily. May we not condemn ourselves for saying no; rather, may we learn to trust God's work in us. God uses us to do terrifying things to: 1) help us grow, 2) help us see things through the eyes of Eternity. 3) allow us to obey and trust Him, 4) keep us filled with that childlike excitement! The first step is not measurable...

The Holy Spirit wants us to take that step of faith. Scripture will always back up what the Spirit tells us to do. Trust the Lord! Who are we to stand in God's way? Consider this: God has confidence that you will say yes to what He desires to do in and through you -- let us not stand in His way with our doubt, fear, apprehensions, etc.... Hosted on Acast. A believer's decision to ignore the presence of the Holy Spirit in their life does not have the authority to remove the Spirit of God from their life. They are, however, making a personal decision to live a Christian existence that is void of an intimate relationship with God. My prayer is that we will all allow the Holy Spirit to testify the truth of John 1 within our hearts, souls, and minds. Th...

Easy answer -- they choose to. How do we know the Bible is true? It is the Holy Spirit in us that points us to the truth of the Word of God. The Spirit testifies because the Spirit is the truth. When a person falls in love with Jesus Christ, the Spirit has the freedom to point her to the truth of His Word. The Holy Spirit, history, and His death on the cross all testify and agree on who Jesus is....

What an abundant discussion! We found ourselves having a Spirit led Scripture study in Luke 9. The disciples were able to see the Holy Spirit in Jesus and experience the Spirit in them for a moment, for the purpose of fulfilling God's eternal plan. After Jesus ascended (Acts 1) then the Disciples were given what you and I have today --- the Holy Spirit in us 24 hours a day! Let Jesus be your examp...

Consider our God -- God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit: One! The Disciples were given a physical relationship with Jesus. They did not need the Holy Spirit inside them because they had Jesus with them. Whenever Jesus sent them out 2x2, He gave them the Spirit. If Jesus remained in the flesh, His impact would have been for that generation. But the Holy Spirit can impact the world. The Spi...

I pray today's discussion will resonate with you. In short, Prayer is always and only between you and God the Father through the access of the Holy Spirit of God. Intentionally speaking, when we initiate a prayer request to the Father's heart, we are engaging in prayer. And when we allow the Holy Spirit to direct our prayers (praying for the things He brings to our hearts and minds), then we are p...

Below are a few key points from todqay's group discussion. I pray these will resonate with you... - Receiving Jesus as our Lord and Savior is the first time we obey the Holy Spirit. - Satan is the creator of blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. - Satan is a singular created being and can only be where he is. - Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is rejecting God and following Satan. - Jesus had to ret...

Jesus is not a religion. Process that truth. Jesus came to gift us with something so much bigger, so much grander than the rules of religion. He came to give us life, abundantly---His Spirit in you. May we learn to see this truth so that the world around us might be saved. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

The base line of goodness is God -- it helps us see evil for what it truly is without being blinded by Satan's attempt to gift wrap evil with the appearance of good. God can change the posture of your heart -- stand in that truth. We also discuss the vitality of forgiving one another. How can someone trust the forgiveness of Christ if they see Christians actively refusing to forgive each other? An...

Our Podcast Girls walked away from this week's discussion with a few intimate statements. My prayer is that you will do the same. Here are the words of our hearts: "Rest in His Righteousness," "Die to myself and feel Jesus takeover." "Give it, whatever "it" is, to the Spirit for guidance." "Taking up my cross---loving Jesus with all my heart, mind, and soul---will allow me to live unhidden as the...

Are you ready to live forgiven? The same Spirit in Peter was in Paul and is in you--Each of us called to do and be the individual Temple of God. Paul's message to the Gentiles was brand new and completely given to him from God. Paul's willingness to live free from his past, to live forgiven, allowed him to walk in the Spirit for the salvation of the Gentiles. That if huge. And it is your sentence,...
