July 27 was the National Day of the Cowboy and on this program, Harry Alexander and Bunker de France talk about the origins of the cowboy and some of the customs.

On this show, we talk with Nancy Quinn, wildlife artist and author. Her first book, “Go West, Young Woman,” was awarded a Will Rogers Medallion in 2018. Her second book is “Stay West, Young Woman.” Both are available at Amazon.com.

On this program, we talk about Emil Franzi, the founder of this show. He passed away two years ago. He was a Yankee Doodle Dandy, born on the Fourth of July. Included are segments from past shows we thought were among his best.

Today’s show is about Monte Walsh–the first one produced in 1970. Our guests are True West Magazine Editor Stuart Rosebrook and from Hollywood, Todd Roberts. Todd’s dad, Bobby Roberts, was the producer of the picture and Todd got to accompany his dad on the set. We also talk about star Lee Marvin.
