Tribe Church

The table of the Lord awaits. It is a table of communion with Him. There is a call to place this time of prayer at the table above everything else on the schedule. The table is what helps us connect our hearts to heaven. We will experience more of what is meant by “on earth as it is in heaven” when we take our rightful seat at His table.

If we’re honest, many of us can relate to praying for a cause and feeling as though the answer never came. Maybe we’ve prayed and felt like it ended with an answer we were hoping against. Either way, prayer is so much more than our perceived expectations. It is important to have an understanding of prayer and what is taking place when we pray.

Many of us have needs in our lives that we are praying about continually. Jesus tells us “whatever” we ask, or when we ask “anything” in His name, He will do it. He will ask the Father who will send another Savior, the Holy Spirit. And then, His Holy Spirit living within is what equips us to be an answered prayer to the surrounding culture. Every single one of us has a gift, has an anointing, that our Father gave to us before the beginning of time. That gift is going to be used either for God or for the world. The choice of how it is used is up to us. It is our responsibility, by the power of the Holy Spirit dwelling within, to guard this most precious gift, allowing it to be used for the King and utilized for His Kingdom. 

In the very beginning He designed us to walk in the cool of the day with Him. There is no substitute for that union with the Father. His Fatherhood, as unveiled by the Holy Spirit, is what reveals His inmost heart and the identity over our lives. We have been identified as sons and daughters with permission to walk in the most effective and authentic of ways.

There is a big difference between walking this earth as His creation and walking this earth as His son. Sons have the understanding of being created by Him, but it doesn’t stop there. Sons are aware of having received the Spirit of adoption.

In some form or another, the heaviness and unnecessary weight a burden can bring will eventually take its toll. It may seem unbearable, but if you’re listening, there is a knock at the door saying cast your cares upon the Lord because He deeply cares. The real question is, are you convinced? Are you convinced He deeply cares? Are you convinced you can fully trust Him?

What is it that moves you? Is it the thought of what tomorrow brings? Is it the diagnosis you just received? When you’re rooted to the kingdom of this world, you’ll constantly be moved by circumstances. However, as believers, He is calling us to be rooted to Him and His kingdom! When you’re rooted to this, you’ll be moved by the impulses of the Holy Spirit.

You may have heard the popular phrase that speaks to how many talk the talk, but few will actually walk the walk. Your actions speak. As believers, we hear the messages and quote the verses, but the temptation to live casually exists. We can hear and know the language of this new day, but does it stop there? Does our lifestyle reflect new life? Are we walking the walk? Or are we just talking the t...

It’s been said we will reflect what we’ve been placing our focus on. We can see this to be true on the faces of smiling babies that have had constant smiles being sent their way. They’re reflecting what they’re seeing, and it shows on their countenance. Next, look at those with disgruntled countenances. The spirit of fear. When hearing those words, one may remember the popular verse that speaks to how that spirit is not what He has given. Where does it come from then? How does one get free from such? Since He has given love, how does one walk in this perfect love? How does one live with a sound mind? The answers exist in the midst of His perfect love!

Are you a fearful person? When asked, one may be apt to say no. After all, some view having fear as a sign of weakness and do not want to be seen as such. But…are you stressed? Anxious? Worried? The response to these questions are more likely to be yes. Nevertheless, if we can perceive it, the overriding influence of these emotions is fear. Fear. The word alone may cause certain feelings within, for we all have had our own experiences with it. But whatever the circumstance, we are left with a choice. Will we yield to fear or will we choose to yield to His perfect love? Will we “stand still” and wait on Him to move forward or will we continually wander on our own accord?

There are many lenses one could look through when trying to define the word “son.” Our Father invites us to look at sonship through the eyes of His Son, who walked this earth with a knowing of why He came. He knew His “why,” so that we could know ours.

When one hears the phrase “heart of worship,” often the first thought that comes to mind is worship by way of song. However, when examining scripture, there are many instances where worship takes on a meaning outside of the accompaniment of music. Look at Abraham when he was asked to sacrifice Isaac. The bread is fresh. The table is set. An empty seat is awaiting. The invitation to sit at the table and dine with Him has been given. Being seated with Him and setting the Lord before will usher in divine encounter. And divine encounter will produce a knowing of Him by way of experience.

Jesus’ resurrection is a fundamental part of our faith. It changed everything. It should absolutely be celebrated and talked about! But it should not stop there. It is not meant to just be talked about, it is meant to be experienced. This experience is not just for us, but it is evidence to the world.

Life is but a vapor. We only have so long on earth. When life’s to do lists try to distract, may the stirring within our hearts remind us of the point of it all. We have been identified by our Father as sons and daughters. We are called to serve. We are called to love one another as He has loved us.

What does servanthood look like? There are certain examples that come to mind, but one stands above the rest. Jesus modeled the attributes of servanthood like no one else. He lived His life in a way that demonstrated He knew exactly who He was and why He was here. He showed us what it means to serve by walking confidently in identity, being a giver, and choosing to love no matter what. This is the...

From the Old Testament until now, our assignment has been the same. We are called to tend to the flame. In the days of old it was about gazing upon a sacrificial fire. Now, it is all about staring into eyes like fire. The invitation is to behold Jesus. For when we behold the eyes like fire, there is no other option than to come out with an authentic flame.

In the culture we live in today, the world will try to influence us into thinking we are called to this and that. As Believers, it is significantly important that we come into the authentic expression of who He designed us to be and operate from a place of knowing why He designed us that way. When we begin to express this, the parts of the body of Christ will come together in unity with the Father...

You don’t just stumble upon the authentic you. You are your true authentic self when you have the full awareness that His Spirit abides within. He formed you for His purpose, glory, and will. You are not designed for the likely, you are designed for the impossible. You are called to walk this planet in authenticity, so heaven may be revealed to earth.

Our mindset is so important. If we expand our understanding and see “mindset” as having our mind set and singularly focused on the Lord, the significance becomes clearer. We’re not just natural beings, but spiritual beings, and our mind is the natural gateway for heaven to come to earth. The right mindset keeps us in position to catch the wind of Holy Spirit and live as the access point for heaven...

Events in our world’s culture are designed to demand a response, most often based in worry and doubt. This can cause an emotional rollercoaster, even for us as Believers. So how should we respond? This is our opportunity to prove what’s within us and represent the culture of the Kingdom - the King’s domain, where there is one King and one throne. In this day of breakthrough, the King is beckoning...

Our Father shapes and forms the day, and we each have the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it. Rejoicing is the expression of joy that is already present within each of us, even when we don’t feel it. When we live in the awareness that this joy exists within and understand that it’s not an emotion that has to be pursued, it will provide the endurance we need for what is set before us.
