The Generations Radio Program

It's not just pastors and missionaries that are responsible for discipling the nations and impacting society for Christ. There are viable opportunities out there for people in business, media, entertainment, and culture. Kevin Swanson initiates the conversation with Guy Rodgers from Pinnacle Forum on ways everyday Christians can bring their faith into the rest of life!

We struggle to describe the house of cards called the US economy on this edition of the program. The stock market has effectively already crashed. But, the volatility and general flakiness of the modern economy and society is beyond anything we've ever seen in modern history. Powerful governments were trying to fix economies by spending more and more money. They were trying to control the nat...

In this edition of Generations, Kevin Swanson and Steve Vaughan discuss the upcoming holiday, Halloween. The Day of the Dead was first celebrated in opposition to God's judgement on the earth through the worldwide flood, and it continues to celebrate death. Should Christians fear ghosts and ghouls, or should they fear God? Should our focus be on death and horror or on the risen Christ who con...

Kanye West is a professing Christian professing pro-life positions . . . but what can be said about his association with the lost tribes of Israel and his criticism of Jews? We take a look at the biblical view of the lost tribes and the reasons for anti-Semitism. Did the Jews bring down Western civilization, or was it sin and apostasy in general?

The predominant view among evangelicals and other Christians today is that the church is not essential anymore. Is that just another first step into apostasy? Is the body of Christ really essential? Can churches who lack church membership be considered a church at all? Jonathan Leeman makes the case for church membership and describes healthy church relationships in this important exchange.

His two stepbrothers, one of which was a Baptist pastor, insisted that Elvis was a Christian. But what is the overall trajectory of his life and career? Does a man's life affect his music? Do we merely judge by lyrics, or is there a lifestyle that plays into the popular cultural emanations? We can't answer the question as to the eternal destination of Elvis's soul, but we can identi...

"The current state of reproductive affairs can't continue much longer without threatening human survival," says epidemiologist Shanna Swan. Europe, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand are the worst for average Testosterone levels. Russia, Brazil, Mexico, India, Afghanistan, and most of Africa are way higher than the US and Europe. How's that going to work out for the future of w...

Ex-Fed Chair Ben Bernanke gets the Nobel Prize for his last-ditch effort to defend Keyensian economics. We run over a few other nothing-burger Nobel prizes. Are these people really helpful, or is this more of the Emperor's-New-Clothes procession, where the clothes makers get all the awards? Without God, man doesn't do much good in science, economics, politics, or peace. Only Jesus brings...

What would George Washington think about the present entangling alliances and the American prosecution of the war against Russia? It’s a reasonable question, but not many would want to answer the question. Above all, this is a time to fear God, and yet there’s precious little of that left in this administration right now. The president is concerned about a possible Armageddon, but then why is the...

Here is the strange story of the mass infiltration of Marxism and Wokism into the modern church. Why does the enemy go after the seminaries first, and how will the church come through this present crisis? Once again, the root of the ethical confusion is the antinomianism in modern evangelicalism. Here is a summary of the new expose film on enemies in the PCA, the Southern Baptist Churches, and oth...

The FBI is taking the side of the abortionists, and nothing is done about the assault on pro-life pregnancy centers. We estimate $60 million of damage, and not one arrest. Meantime, the FBI is busy arresting pro-lifers who prevented one person from getting an abortion. Then, Pastor John MacArthur is calling Governor Newsom to account for his no-holds-barred pro-abortion, pro-infanticide policies....

Finally, the leading sane voices of the nation have spoken. It's time to abandon the public schools altogether. Franklin Graham, James Dobson, Dennis Prager, Rush Limbaugh, and Michael Reagan are telling Christian and conservative families to get the kids out . . . now. But what about the argument that the Puritans and pilgrims started up the public schools with the ol' Satan Deluder Act...

Christian social commentators are grappling with how to respond to the collapse of civilizations. The options are: resist and reform, accelerate the collapse, enjoy the decline, build an ark, and deny and proceed. One of the significant questions still to answer is whether we move more separatist on the separatist-puritan continuum. Here we review some of the weaknesses of separatism, especially i...

And, the burnt fool's bandaged finger goes wabbling back to the fire. Governments are always trying to make a soft landing for totally irresponsible, drunken-sailor financial conditions they've created over the last 40 years. The soft landing turns out to be more drunken-sailor, irresponsible spending . . . and quantitative easing. They don't want a crash . . . so they're doing...

God speaks, and we respond to the voice of God in the Word. But worship today is configured as authentic expression or an emotional experience. What is Biblical worship? Is it a formal liturgy or the informal guy in the t-shirt and tennis shoes having a conversation with us from the front of the stage? Can rejoicing and reverence be complementary in worship? Why is psalm singing so essential to th...

These are last-ditch efforts to salvage a civilization. . . . Politics can't do it. The Roman Church can't do it. But what about their first female Prime Minister—Europe's 16th female head of state? We take a look at the "fascist" invective, and then identify the failure of Italian civilization as the breakdown of faith and family.

Iranian Morality Police beat a woman to death for not getting her hijab on straight. But then, every nation has morality police. It's just a question of which morality is to be enforced. Should the civil magistrate fine people who don't bake cakes for homosexual weddings? What about putting a person in jail for starving their dog to death since dogs are "made in the image of God?&qu...

Almost 200 million views in four days for the new Netflix docu-series on Jeffrey Dahmer, for these fixated on the evil. But, even the final episode leaves out the real story, the real motive, the real explanation, the real insight provided in the NBC Stone Phillips interview. Although what's available from the 1994 interview has been heavily redacted, we have uncovered the explosive four minu...

Americans increasingly do not believe the church is essential. For this program Pastor Bill Shishko joins us to answer some basic questions. What's the focus of the church? Should the church focus on evangelism, worship, or discipleship? What constitutes a church? What's a healthy church? There are dysfunctional churches and then there are healthy churches. But healthy churches are not a...

Entrepreneurship and family business is not the easiest proposition in the present economy. This conversation provides insights into the relationship of discipleship, ministry, and business. We interview Jim Mueller, a business coach, on his experience with MLM's—the good and the bad, the successful and the less so. What makes a good coach in business, and . . . more importantly, how does one...

"Worshiping alone or with one's family is a valid replacement for regularly attending church." The majority of evangelicals now agree with the statement. We take a close look at the biblical definition of the church, its necessity, and the reasons why people are exiting the church.

Everybody bans books because every library has a budget. That should be obvious. Harper Lee's "To Kill a Mockingbird" is the latest book suffering the attacks of the left. The degree to which any book conforms to the latest standards of Woke . . . puts every book in question. But the book is banned for insulting man, but nobody seems to care about insults to God. We do a careful ana...

The US military has been demoralized in more ways than one. Diversity and inclusive training isn't allowing references to moms and dads anymore. What once was the most conservative element of American society is dissolving into political correctness. And now the desalination begins as the salt pulls out. The Covid-19 vaccine campaign has weeded out much of the more committed Christian populat...

While we have cautioned families on the use of abortifacients, the question remains . . . Do Christians use conception control? How does 1 Corinthians 7 apply? Does God kill Onan over his approach to conception control? Are Christians ethically obligated to having as many children as possible? Kevin Swanson and Pastor Phil Kayser discuss the thorny question of conception control on this edition of...

Now more than ever, this is the time for spiritual men—spiritual leaders for our families and churches. The church needs men who are called to be pastors and elders, men who will be faithful for thirty or forty years. On this edition of Generations, Kevin Swanson interviews two pastors about what it means to be a pastor. They address the importance of accountability with other elders and love for...
