A foundations which will work in a rapidly changing society...

Most parents seperate love from discipline and think discipline = punishment. Punishment is maybe 5 - 10% of discipline. The first step to having a well disciplined child is making a child feel loved.

Like steam in a kettle, anger must come out some way. Children only have two ways to let off steam verbally or with their behaviour. Both ways make it difficult for a parent to know how to respond properly. One of our greatest responsibilities as a parent isn’t to simply respond to anger but to train our children in how to handle anger.

As a parent you are entrusted by God to shepherd and love your child unconditionally. But how do you do that?

Prayer is powerful, it is our direct line between us and our father in Heaven.

Celebrating our 25th Birthday as a church we looked at the stories of transformation that have happened within our church.

God has power to unify particularly when there is a threat to seperate and for division to arise. How does he do this?

“You can’t be a Christian unless you believe in miracles, because the only way you became a Christian was by the greatest miracle of all.”

The greatest single cause of atheism today is Christians who honour God with their lips and then walk straight out the door and deny him by their lifestyle. The unbelieving world finds this difficult. The more time we spend with Jesus, the more we become like him. The more we become like him the more we see God working through us. The more others see God working in us the more they see God.

Why do we go to Church? Is it the people, the community, the coffee? Or are we drawn out of desire and conviction of Christs love for his bride.
