We feel like following God should be clear and straightforward, but it doesn't always seem that way. Being Confused is a frustrating place, but meeting with Jesus really does bring clarity. 

We like hearing about the Jesus who fills us up and forgives us and cares for us. We don't always like to hear that we might be wrong or that Jesus doesn't always answer questions the way we want him to. But as we dig into this story in John 2, we'll see that we may not always get the Jesus we want, but we do actually get the Jesus we need. 

Jesus turning water into wine isn't just a mere party trick. Rather, this is Jesus taking the shame of failed hospitality and a failing party and turning it into the joy of an even greater celebration. 

Worship is not merely singing or ritual or good feeling or an encouraging word, but a real encounter with a living God!
