In our first week, we discovered that God is always with us. But why is this a good thing? It's good because God is good. Ours is a God who takes sin seriously, but forgiveness even more so. Discover the rest found in forgiveness.

This message wraps up our first series as a church! What does it truly mean to follow Jesus? It means being the people who carry our cross, as Jesus commanded—living as his "New Creation" people. A people that are saved, not from this world, but for it.

This Sunday at Parkside is a family Sunday. Today's message is abbreviated to make time for sharing lunch together as a church family. This week we take a look at the gospel announcement that Jesus is Lord. But why would the world believe this announcement is true? What is the evidence? We are.

Why did Jesus have to die on the cross? Why couldn't he have established his Father's kingdom another way? This week we take a look at Jesus' cross, it's power, the kingdom it established and what that means for those who want to follow him.

Picking up where we left off last week we find the disciples struggling to understand what Jesus is doing, and what it means to follow him. Tune in for an encouraging message about the shared struggle of everyone who attempts to follow Jesus—and how Jesus responds to our struggles.

In Mark 8, Jesus finally asks his disciples the all important question, "But who do you say that I am?" The disciples are ready to confess Jesus is their King (Messiah). But are they really ready to follow this King, at least the kind of King Jesus is going to be? Are you?

Finding freedom = being found by Jesus. This week we take a look at the story of a man bound by evil. Everyone tried to help him, but no one could—until the day Jesus came to him. The freedom Jesus offered this man, is the freedom he offers each of us today!

This week's message takes a look at the story of Levi's calling to follow Jesus—one of the most powerful stories of forgiveness in the New Testament!

Today we will zoom out to look at the whole story of the Bible to set a foundation for understanding Jesus. What God intended for humanity at Creation in Genesis, and what God has promised to do for us in New Creation in Revelation will help us to grasp who Jesus is, what he did, and why he did it. In the end, this foundation will help us understand what it truly means to follow Jesus.
