My Ministry Mission

I recently suffered a loss and grief has been top of mind for me. As I struggle to understand this topic for the first time as a Christian. In this episode we go on a journey through grief trying to understand what grief is, where it comes from, and what we can do to navigate through grief events. I’ve given this episode the title of “Peace be with you,” a phrase that Jesus used when he first appeared to his disciples after his resurrection. What does this actually mean and how does it impact you? Those are just a couple of the questions I try to answer in this episode as we discuss dealing with our worldly stress and finding peace through Godly means. In this episode we will go on a journey to understanding forgiveness so that maybe we can reach it. My hope is that someone listening to this, if nothing else, will get a little closer to forgiving another’s wrongdoings. I wish I could promise to have all the answers, I don’t … but maybe we can find a few of them in today’s episode. Interesting Links The ABCs of Christian Forgiveness: An 8-Step Ap...

I received a request to do another unsung heroes of the bible episode, specifically on Dorcas also known as Tabitha. In just seven versus Luke honors this loved woman and shows us a miracle that leads others to believe. In this short story we see praise, humor, honor, sadness, joy and a view into the beauty of faith in the early Church. References to Bible Verses Acts 9:36-42; Zechariah 7:10; Deut...

This is an ad-hoc episode, I was reading through the book of John and I was so excited at what I’ve learned that I just had to share. In this episode we will continue the conversation about unsung heroes of the bible. This time we’ll go over Abigail form 1 Samuel 25 and learn about this amazing woman… as well as her dreadful husband, Nabal. During this episode, I’ll talk about how her humility saved Nabal from the wrath of David, but more importantly how Abigail saved David from his own sin … and how God takes care of injustice...

I really enjoyed the previous episode I did as a first in a series of unsung heroes of the Bible, a series I’m dedicating to brining some attention to the people who showed extraordinary faith but rarely get talked about. In this episode, I’m going to talk a little bit about another unsung hero, a man named Ananias who was an ordinary man who God called upon to be the catalyst of an extraordinary...

When we think about heroes in the bible, who comes to mind? David? Moses? Noah? Maybe Paul in the new Testament? Jesus? There are a lot of great heroes in the bible, but some of them are not quite as well known, so I thought it would be fun to start a series on some of the unsung heroes of the bible. In this episode I’ll discuss the feeding of the 5,000 and more specifically the boy who brought th...

Being new to Christianity can be a little overwhelming, so I started to think about some of the challenges I ran into understanding what it means to be a Christian like God’s love & forgiveness, The Great Commandment vs The Great Commission, How Christianity changes us, and how to pray. So in this episode, I’ll share a little bit of what I’ve learned. If you’re new to Christianity, or even if...

The Holy Trinity as a whole is still a bit confusing to me, each is a distinct person of God, but they are all God, but there is only one God yet there are the three. It’s enough to make your head spin! I doubt I’ll be able to make complete sense of it considering scholars have been trying to far longer than I’ve been alive. However, I wanted to take one part of the trinity and spend a little time...

Thank you for joining me on this maiden voyage of the My Ministry Mission podcast which is first and foremost dedicated to glorifying God and our savior Jesus Christ, but I also want to share my journey learning what it means to be a disciple of Christ and growing into this new life. I am what a lot of you might call a “baby Christian” as of this episode, I’ve only been saved for 2 years. I spent...

My Ministry Mission is about this man’s journey from non-believer to Disciple of Christ. I look for topics that have been a challenge for me to understand as a Christian new in his faith.
