Fun dumb belt scroller. yes please! omnomnomnomnom

NeoGeo Episode 21: Super Baseball 2020 16.02.2025 17:34 ↓

apparently if you make your baseball game less like baseball and more like a videogame it's a lot more fun.

NeoGeo Episode 20: Crossed Swords 15.02.2025 22:03 ↓

Genuinely a really unique arcade title that isn't really replicated anywhere else.

NeoGeo Episode 19: 8 Man 14.02.2025 32:44 ↓

also I acknowledge that I'm not doing the Legend of Success Joe, which is a poop game anyway.

NeoGeo Episode 18: Burning Fight 13.02.2025 20:43 ↓

frightfully generic belt scroller

NeoGeo Episode 17: Alpha Mission II 12.02.2025 17:33 ↓

an incredibly fun space shooter.

NeoGeo Episode 16: King of the Monsters 11.02.2025 17:34 ↓

Wrasslin' but the monsters are even bigger.

NeoGeo Episode 15: Ghost Pilots 10.02.2025 7:02 ↓

again kind of lacking any Innovation here but a perfectly serviceable shmup in the Capcom biplane style.

NeoGeo Episode 14: Sengoku 09.02.2025 50:13 ↓

Another ninja themed beat em up, this time with spooky things in the post apocalyptic landscape of the Americas.

NeoGeo Episode 13: Quiz Dai Sousa-sen 08.02.2025 4:40 ↓

I don't read Japanese... so... can't play this one!

NeoGeo Episode 12: Blue's Journey/Raguy 07.02.2025 14:05 ↓

For all the world this feels like a lot Amiga or Master System platformer. It's an actual recommendation from me.

NeoGeo episode 11: League Bowling 06.02.2025 4:16 ↓

It's bowling. in a league.

NeoGeo episode 10: Puzzled 05.02.2025 22:05 ↓

So yeah... some of that Mike patented flavour while I do something completely different like, for example, taking out the recycling. Puzzled is a good game and an excellent variation on Tetris but fuck me is it not exciting to talk about.

NeoGeo Episode 9: Cyber-lip 04.02.2025 42:23 ↓

My lips, they are cyber. but seriously this is a pretty serviceable run and or gun. I beat the whole thing.

NeoGeo episode 8: the Super Spy 03.02.2025 26:16 ↓

many punch man.

NeoGeo Episode 7: Riding Hero 02.02.2025 13:08 ↓

These early NeoGeo games all have three recurring themes to them: they tend to be an established genre, they have cool ideas, and they don't really deliver. Riding Hero has a full blown RPG mode, but the Hang On style racing doesn't work very well between the size of the vehicles and the aggressive nature of your opponents.

NeoGeo Episode 6: Ninja Combat 01.02.2025 25:30 ↓

oh hey! it's one I would have potentially played regardless!

NeoGeo Episode 5: Top Player's Golf 31.01.2025 8:58 ↓

Posh blokes hitting balls! I'm not going to lie it's really not my thing.
