Mid Week - NBCC Norco

As we continue in chapter one of Revelation we begin with a description of who Jesus is and we conclude this teaching with a description. Maybe you’ve wondered, “What did Jesus look like?” In Revelation chapter one we find the N.T. description of Jesus in His glorified state. John uses earthly symbols that we can identify with to get a glimpse of our magnificent glorified Savior. I hope you j...

Today, we begin our journey into a book that says if I read it, hear it, and heed it, I will be blessed. Tonight we begin down the road of that blessing as we look at the Revelation of Jesus Christ. We will begin at the first verse and finish with the last verse, and of course this will take a minimum of one and one half years. But it will be an enriching eye opening adventure as we progress into...

We close our Genesis foundations series tonight. Thirty one weeks in Genesis chapters one to eleven have flown by. Tonight I will again cover the text on Babel but with a different application. Last week we looked at the facts of the Tower and tonight I dive back in with application for today. We will explore how the similar behaviors are happening today between God and humanity. It should be inte...

Tonight we begin our two week study of the Tower of Babel has we head toward the finish line of our Genesis foundations series. The Tower of Babel is a huge key to understanding where all the different people groups came from. We will approach our first teaching through a series of questions concerning the Tower that I will answer. Should be a good one! If you'd like this week's notes, click the l...

As we move closer to the finish line of our Genesis foundations series, we come to the second part of the genealogies of Genesis. In other words, where and who we came from. Last week we took a look at the descendants of Japheth, who moved to the north in what we know as Europe and parts of Asia. Today we take a look at the descendants of Ham and Shem as we near the end of our series.  Hope y...

There is a consistently growing curiosity about where we came from; our ancestry. Biblically we know that we are “one race” the human race with many different ethnicities. We’ve all come from one of the three sons of Noah, and ultimately from Adam and Eve the first two humans. In this teaching we embark on finding out who the descendants of Noah’s sons are today. Join me as we look to see where we...

I love that the Bible doesn’t hide the weaknesses and failures of God’s greatest people. And as we progress into Noah’s life after the flood we find this man who called “blameless” fall into sin. It can happen to any of us. And tonight we will examine this AND the incorrect response of one of his sons. Should be interesting!! Tonight’s teaching we look at some of the changes that God institutes after Noah departs from the ark. In our Genesis Foundations series we come to the moment when they are existing the ark to a new beginning. But they are also coming out to a different world. God now institutes a new way of operating in this new world, much the same way He instituted the laws when Israel came out of slavery in Eg...

Noah will now walk off the ark. The water has been receding and now after approximately 370 days he steps onto dry land for a new beginning for humanity. We will look at multiple applications in this text, but I wonder? What is the first thing you or I would do after being sequestered for such a long time?  The first thing Noah does is…………Sorry but you will have to tune in to the teaching to...

We now enter into another important piece of our foundations series through Genesis 1-11. The evidence for an actual global deluge on planet earth. In the next two Tuesdays we will look to see that IF there was a Noah’s flood, what kind of clues or evidence should we find to prove it. In this teaching we continue the second part of the evidence for a global flood. One of the interesting things about this is, both creation and secular scientist have the same evidence. They just interpret it differently. I hope that this teaching allows you to see that the evidence absolutely points to a global flood in our not so distant past.  If you'd like this week's notes, click the lin...

In our Foundations series covering Genesis chapters 1-11, we now come to the moment they enter the Ark. An interestingly, it is Noah, the father that leads his family into the ark. Father’s lead the way in spiritual things, AND dad’s, it is much simpler than some people make it. So today, we follow Noah and the family into their ark of safety as the flood now approaches. If you'd like this week's...

In this teaching we now examine some of the details of the ark Noah was commanded by God to build. Many images and misconceptions of the Ark lead some to believe the ark was not very large, when in fact it was around 500’ long. So it is a huge vessel with plenty of room to house the land dwelling animals. Join us as we now enter the Flood Zone with Noah and his family. If you'd like this week's no...

Today we look at one of the more interesting sections of Genesis, that’s right, the Nephilim. These were large people that lived in the pre-flood era. Who were they? Why were they so large? Are they ever seen again?  There are many thoughts on who they were and how they came to be. Tonight we will look at these people called the Nephilim and attempt to give understanding as to who they were.&...

In this teaching we will look at such things as; Why did people live so much longer than we do today? The rapture of Enoch before the flood. Noah and the interesting differences between his three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. I hope you tune in as we continue our foundations series through Genesis chapters 1-11.  If you'd like this week's notes, click the link here! 👇⬇️ https://www.dropbox.c...

As we progress in our Foundations series we come to the place where we see two distinct family lines taking extremely different paths. Cain’s line goes off the rails and Seth’s line become seekers of God. This shows the importance of the decision making of family patriarchy.  We will also answer the question, “Where did Cain get his wife?”  I hope you join us. If you'd like this week's n...

Cain has sinned by murdering his brother Abel and with any sin comes consequences. In this teaching we will look at Cain’s consequences in detail. As we progress we will see how the root of rejection led to personal pain in his life. Cain thought he could get away with it. But the problem with that is, God sees and knows everything and because of Cain’s lack of repentance he suffers greatly. We ca...

Today we begin chapter 4 of our foundations series in Genesis. Specifically we look at Cain and Abel. I have titled this, “Dealing with anger: Cain and Abel.”  I’ve been around long enough to know there are plenty of angry people around. I was one of them. I was on that team for decades. So I know a bit about it and its destructive fruit. Today we look at an angry man we know as Cain and we f...

In this teaching we focus on the fall out of sin. Specifically on Adam. Due to sin corruption enters into a once perfect world and now for Adam, life will have it’s difficulties. And that goes for all of us descendants of Adam. We will also see the mercy of God in this text as God sacrifices an animal to cover Adam and Eve. This is a beautiful picture of what the God man Jesus Christ will go throu...

We continue in our Genesis Foundations series with a deep dive into what God made as very good, but now after sin, was not so good. This is the first of a two-part teaching looking at what changed for the woman, the serpent, and man.  If you'd like this week's notes, click the link here!👇⬇️ https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/vromw3oc2f1sqc9li9wmn/PJ-Mid-Week-11-12-24db.pdf?rlkey=5lv73ewklfbmpdtf...

We continue to look at the fall out of the fall. It is fascinating to me that most if not all relationship and marriage problems can be traced back to this. And tonight, we continue learn what not to do by observing Adam and Eve's marriage malfunction.  If you'd like this week's notes, click the link here!👇⬇️ https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/m6k2aiy39fdtm5phyr24e/PJ-Mid-Week-11-5-24d...

We now begin our slow walk through the fall out of sin as it pertains to relationships. Adam and Eve once had the perfect marriage but now as a result of sin, we see cracks, malfunctions in their union. As we progress through Genesis chapter three we will see relationship-wreck. And if we are honest we will see some of the same things popping up in ourselves.  If you'd like this week's notes,...

Adam and has now sinned and opened up Pandora’s box. The Adam bomb of sin has dropped and now comes the fall out. The serpent promised a greater life if they ate. But just like the Devil, what he promises and what he delivers are two very different things. In this teaching we begin to see the beginning of fractures in a once close, open, honest and intimate relationship. If you'd like this week's...

As we continue through Genesis 1-11, we now enter into the moment in time when everything changed. And when I say everything, I mean everything. The Serpent will be used to tempt Adam and Eve to sin. God had warned Adam that if he ate of that one tree he would die. And of course Adam disregards the warning and bites resulting in corruption and catastrophe entering the world. Today’s teaching exami...
