Maureen Y. Smith - Conquering the Seeds of Destruction

In my own personal testimony, I have had my struggles with the Seeds and Roots of Miscommunication and Misinterpretation causing many years of trying to figure out my identity and where I belonged. What I had learned was that going through the journey is never easy, but I had to trust God in all of it. Over time, I was able to see God’s hand in it from the beginning.

Being able to communicate within all the various types of channels and venues can be rewarding. However, if open and positive communication are not achieved, are you willing to put the work in to reach a level of understanding? Discover the various clarifying questions to ask so that you can reach effective communication while never assuming anything.

Today, I am picking back up from our discussion yesterday on the Seed of Truth. Talking with God is important in building a close and personal relationship with Him. Learn how to have different ways of praying so that you can see the importance of communicating with God daily. You will also see how the Seed of Truth was planted into Adam and Eve and how their life progressed with God.

Getting to the truth is one of the most important things that each of us should seek after. What becomes the foundation of that truth? How do you align yourself against the truth? God has specific instructions on how we are to operate in God’s Seed of Survival, The Seed of Truth. Listen and discover what is needed.

Why do you feel separated from your support system? How did things get to a heightened level? You now realize that you need to remove yourself from a situation or a person. The Root of Separation becomes the last and final root of destruction from the Seeds of Miscommunication and Misinterpretation. See how Adam and the woman dealt with it and gain insight from their lives.

The goal becomes for the serpent/enemy to have a stronger hold on you as he tries to do destructive things to your life. If you keep listening to him, you will develop the second root which is called the Root of Confusion. You will see that the Root of Confusion is not just things that happen to you, but you may find yourself including others into the picture.

As time goes on, whose voice is important to you? What guides you into making choices for your life? The first root, which is the Root of Doubt, can form into you if you are not for sure on what to do next in your life. Listen to what happens as the serpent continues to influence the woman and see how she responds and begins to change.

Listen and see how the first Seeds of Miscommunication and Misinterpretation are planted into man by the serpent. You will discover what they mean and how they can develop, especially into intentional and unintentional versions and what Scriptures can combat them. Communication is essential and necessary in how we relate to one another, regardless of the form we use to do so. You will be able to dig deeper into the components of talking and listening and how each will determine how your relationships will grow and develop. In the end, you may have to agree to disagree to keep things moving forward into a positive direction.

Initially growing up, it was hard for me to understand where I fit in. As time went on, the lack of confidence within continued to challenge me and I found myself trying to be a people pleaser instead of being the child of God I was created to be. What I had learned was that I needed to surrender to God and to seek His approval instead of the approval of others.

Learning how to operate in God’s standards instead of the world’s standards can be challenging but not impossible to do. There are times that you may also need to show a sincere act of kindness to help others instead of helping yourself. When you do these things, you will look at gaining approval in a different light.

Whose voice do you listen to… God’s voice or the enemy’s voice? What do you think or believe about yourself when you receive information? It is these two questions and others that will be addressed so that you can operate in a life of approval with God. He wants that for you, and you must decide if you want it for yourself.

Staying guided by God becomes necessary and important for you to not be distracted by the enemy. He tries to place people into your life to place expectations onto you so that it can cause you to feel as if you don’t measure up on certain things or that people only see you as significant based on what you did for them. Listen to God’s voice and learn your real worth just as the new man Abraham did...

The Seed of Approval that God plants into you is so important for you to know because He wants you to understand who you are and whose you are. When you understand that, you will be able to handle the affirmations that God speaks into you as well as the characteristics of Him that He teaches you through the Holy Spirit living inside of you.

Although things may look hopeless and you feel that you are at rock bottom or at your breaking point, you must find a way to not allow the enemy to feed into your mind with the Root of a Nervous Breakdown. He wants to keep you in that defeated mentality. Listen and find ways to keep trusting God and know that He will heal your broken heart, just as God did with Hagar.
