God called Elijah during a time of great upheaval, a time of great idolatry and immorality – much like our current age. God called Elijah to speak His word of rebuke, but also His word of promise and life!

Those who believe in Jesus have the Holy Spirit who dwells with you and is in you. And because you have been chosen out of the world to follow Jesus and to do His ministry, you need to the power of the Holy Spirit.

Sometimes we have doubt and wonder, “Has God forgotten about me? Has he forsaken me?” Be assured that just as Jesus called and chose the disciples, He has called and chosen you. Just as Jesus did not forsake the disciples, He has not forsaken you.

Because Jesus was glorified, we will be glorified also.
