What is the ultimate purpose of prayer? Is it to make us more comfortable and have our wishes met, or is it something far greater than us?

To seek the Lord we must be prepared. Isaiah is a great passage that points both to the work of John the Baptist preparing the way for Jesus ministry and for the work of the Holy Spirit in preparing us to see the greatness and beauty of God. The truth is we all need some construction work, but the end result of seeing God in all His wonder is well worth it.

What does is mean to seek the Lord's face? How are we to enter into His presence. In Psalm 27, David reveals the joy of dwelling in God's presence, gazing upon His beauty and know Him intimately so we can make Him known to others. Seeking God is the greatest pursuit in life. It is what we were made for.

God invites you to seek His face. He wants you and I to intimately know Jesus.

The Vision of Isaiah changed him. He saw God for who he really is and the direction of his life was transformed. In the process he was undone. We may need to be undone as well in order to experience the full wonder of who God is.
