Today’s “Hometown Hero” is Jim Santacrose from Endicott, New York. He’s honoring the memory of his son, by giving away furniture to those in need.

Today’s “Hometown Hero” is Rochester, New York’s Jason McElwain. 14 years ago the kid known as “J-Mac” made sports history by scoring 20 points in the final four minutes of a high school basketball game. But that’s just the beginning of his story.

Today’s “Hometown Hero” is Jack Burris from Albion, New York. He’s running a street ministry that’s offering a hand-up, not a hand-out.

Today’s “Hometown Hero” is Steve Ritchie from Lockport, New York. This former police officer was shot several times and declared dead. But God had other plans for his life.

Today’s “Hometown Hero” is Joshua Lopez from Lockport, New York. In this era of COVID-19, he’s helping kids cope in more ways than one.

Today’s “Hometown Hero” is Bradford, Pennsylvania’s Josh Hatcher. He’s teaching men how to lead, in a politically correct world.

Today’s “Hometown Hero” is Cleveland Way from Williamsport, Pennsylvania. He’s giving that city’s homeless population a fresh start with American Rescue Workers.  

Today’s “Hometown Hero” is Rick Rohlin from Russell, Pennsylvania. He’s rescuing kids from human trafficking all around the world, one sport at a time.

Today’s “Hometown Hero” is Steve Younger from Sugar Grove, Pennsylvania. He runs a gym where the ball is the bait for the gospel message.

Today’s “Hometown Heroes” are Walter & Laura Hopkins from Rushford, New York. Laura donated a liver to help save a little girl’s life.

Today’s “Hometown Hero” is Bethany Earl from Johnson City, New York. She runs a “bookmobile” in that community to help promote summer literacy.

Today’s “Hometown Hero” is Albion, New York’s Randy Lebaron. He’s sharing the love of Christ… one cup of coffee at a time.

Today’s “Hometown Hero” is Bernadette Negus from Savona, New York. She’s changing people’s lives all across the country, with a “Dove” nominated song.

Today’s “Hometown Hero” is Bath, New York’s Woody Latour. He’s bringing joy to that community, one joke at a time.

Today’s “Hometown Hero” is Bradley Poole from Salamanca, New York. He’s running 266 miles in six days to help raise money and awareness for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Today’s “Hometown Hero” is Cindy Goss from Lancaster, New York.  She runs a program to help cops cope with the stress of their job.

Today’s “Hometown Hero” is Mike Maxwell from Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania. This Thursday he’s donating one of his kidneys to a friend in need.

Today’s “Hometown Hero” is Mickayla Maneval from Liberty, Pennsylvania. She’s providing hope to seniors during “COVID-19.”

Today’s “Hometown Hero” is Jamestown, New York’s Doug Justham. He’s on the front lines of the COVID-19 fight.

Today’s “Hometown Hero” is Bethany Seastrum from Bemus Point, New York. She’s launched a “Facebook” page to honor local high school seniors during this COVID-19 crisis.

Today’s “Hometown Hero” is Hunter Lindblad from Jamestown, New York. He’s with the U.S. Air Force in South Korea, and he speaks with us from halfway around the world in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Today’s “Hometown Hero” is 9-year-old Taylnn Kendall from Kennedy, New York. She visits nursing homes carrying signs of joy during these troubling times.

Today’s “Hometown Hero” is Bemus Point, New York’s Doug Kibbe. This pastor is using a national health crisis to point people to Jesus.

Today’s “Hometown Hero” is Williamsport, Pennsylvania’s Shawna Hakes. After losing her husband to lung cancer four years ago, she now helps other women cope with life following a death.

Today’s “Hometown Hero” is Buffalo, New York’s Schwartzen Precil. This 25 year-old was abandoned by his parents, and abused in a foster home. He’s now teaching others how to turn obstacles into opportunities.
